It's not just about this game, the fans want Howe sacked because they're in poor form with the richest club in the league, now that's a disgrace. These fans need to remember that only 7 years ago they were in the Championship

For the record, no long term Newcastle fans are putting any pressure on Howe whatsoever, we all understand the situation and he's pretty much universally backed and beloved about the Toon. All this bollocks is coming from A. gloryhounds who only started supporting the club post-takeover and don't even know what a stottie is, and B. rival fans.

I would say Howe's job is not under immediate pressure. Howe-ever, he might be the manager to get the ship on the right course, but not "captain" us to the promised land/destination. Another element that helps Howe's job security is the lack of quality managers as well. Replacing Howe with a manager of similar quality makes no sense, Howe seems to be a 7/10, a solid manager that can develop some talent, but likely will struggle to lift the big trophies which Newcastle should be seeking at this point.
@guyjackson12615 ай бұрын
@@TFB3BibsyG 7/10 and unlikely to get us trophies? I think he has earned more faith than that.

@@guyjackson1261 not really. Although Howe has lifted us up from the mud, he's had the team available to beat Dortmund, Milan at home when we had the lead as well. There are big games where he's gotten the tactics wrong. He's a good coach, I'm Just not sure he's the right coach 2 years down the line. Give him next season (he's earned that unless he' absolute garbage or somethin) and then make the call. There wasn't an English name amongst the comments you highlighted - no Geordies want Howe gone. A hugely overachieving squad (all thanks to Howe), woefully injury afflicted, and playing 3 games a week, this low period was sadly inevitable. The real fans are right behind Howe, and know that we will still finish in a good top half position and will continue our upward trajectory.

Y’all hating on Newcastle & Howe are actually tapped. They’re a team that should be looking at Top 7 at the moment, and overachieved last season at a time when a lot of “big” teams were underachieving, and were making lots of personnel changes. They’re missing a lot of key players, and they have this month to strengthen the squad in the transfer window. If they finish between 4th & 10th it will still be a reasonable season. They might have qualified for the Champions League last season, but the season’s before they’ve been hovering around relegation (as well as having been relegated and promoted back a few times). Howe has greatly improved their fortunes and ambition.

Honestly people forget where we were literally only 3 years ago the season before Howe took over. 20/21 our only good signing was Wilson. Our other signings, Fraser, Jamal Lewis, Jeff Hendrick, Gillespie. None of which of had any relevance at the club for quite some time. Joelinton was a flop and most people wanted him gone. He's now injured for the rest of the season and people are saying "Season is over". In the short time Howe has been here, we have had Champion's League football for the first time in 20 years, our first Wembley final in 25 years, and he's turned 'Championship' player's into main stays. People who want Howe gone are glory hunters and need to get their head on straight.

I agree with your point on FFPto an extent, I definitely wouldn't want Newcastle running riot on the transfer market like Man City and Chelsea did in the past. But there must be a medium position between that and where we are now. Newcastle are effectively being punished for the Ashley years. They have few to none sellable assets in the squad other than those they have brought in and so, presumablydo not want to sell. The state of the transfer market means even fleshing out the squad is cost prohibitive. One of our representatives in Europe's premier competition couldn't field a full bench on occasions ffs. FFP is doing the opposite of creating parity. It is keeping the rich clubs at the top and quashing any attempt at competition. Over tge past few years Newcastle, Villa, Leicester, Wolves and West Ham have all had runs at breaking up the top 6, but at the end of the day even the most mediocre Man Utd side in 30 years is going to rise to the top as they can go out and blow another 150 million this month, while the so called richest club on Earth can't afford to buy a squad player. That can't be fair play, surely

I hate do admit this as a city fan, we were hopeless until KDB came on, i still dont know why Gvardiol plays LB, and Ake player CB yesterday, Gvardiol played LB, why not switch them, Ake is a proven LB and Guardiol is an up-and-coming CB, so why play him left, Alvarez wasn't himself yesterday, he looked like a false 9 and we played with 3 wingers, Pep return to the 3 2 4 1, play Akanji as the 2nd CDM until Stones returns and have a backline of Gvardiol Dias Akanji with Rodri and Stones in front if them

For all those crying the coffers are empty we have no cash left, unless we sell someone I'd rather soldier on than sell any of our better players. Where building a squad so we wait, till the summer it's not Howes fault nobody could have gotten more out of this squad with the amount of injuries and a key suspension.

Most of Newcastle fans want Eddie in but the people you had from Twitter on before weren’t even Newcastle fans. One of them has Trent as their pfp. Do some proper research mate

Howe is a class manager. And anyone who is getting their knickers in a twist because Newcastle isn't just buying everyone and then claiming that FFP is a joke is clueless about how FFP works. I am not even close to liking the fact that the PIF owns Newcastle, but I will clearly state that I am really impressed at how they've comported themselves in the time since they purchased the club. They didn't come in and act like "We're winning the league next year", they stayed smart and managed to have transfers that stayed easily within the boundaries of FFP and the makeup of the team. They went far more gradual with the transfers and it feels that Howe is involved with the transfers intimately so the players fit his system, as opposed to some other teams just going "Let's just buy players left and right and overpay and we'll find a manager to make them work together." Newcastle are a quality team having an absolute shit run of form. It will balance out and they will probably be up near a European League spot. And Howe's shown that he can make it all work. As long as he gets the chance to bolster the squad with more quality talent in the rest of this window and the summer one, they're going to be VERY dangerous.

The unending injury crisis was something else. Atleast hopefully it ends by this season. With the resources available to them, it's a wonder how they lost 3-2 to the best team in the league and even that needed kdb . Massive props to nufc

i'm a man city fan, and have also become a newcastle fan this year because of what howe has done with players like gordon and joelinton. guys who were underestimated elsewhere and needed a coach who could extract more of their potential from them. i thought it was a great match. i think newcastle will be in the top six.

Eddie Howe is a paid employee and his job is to take your club to greater heights. He has you mid table, out of the CL and the league cup. Lose away to Fulham in the FA cup and you win no trophies this year. He did well to keep you up in 21-22 and get you 4th in 22-23 but he was paid tons of money to elevate you and now he’s taken you backwards. Don’t hold on to sentiment, he needs to go.
