I do remember Jaws when it first came out. Right in the middle of the theater set a old man and every time the music would start playing he would say " here comes that mean old fish " everyone would start laughing.

Been in North Carolina all my life, except for five years we lived in Virginia, my mother and father served in the Navy , my mother in the Waves during WWII. I don’t remember having visited Boone, NC. Now my mother and Step father did have a home in Boone on the side of a mountain. Weekend retreat. Boone seemed to be hopping and was beautiful. I thank God for you, as your love and kindness takes me places i do long for though. All my love to you and Big T

Loved your stroll through my town! I love living here, and I'm so glad you featured it! There are many good restaurants and fun things to do in town and out on the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you'd kept walking east on E. King Street, you would have come to the Dan'l Boone Inn restaurant. It's run by some really fine people, and they serve some good family style southern home cooking food! Check it out sometime! 😋 I also enjoy your Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountains videos! My parents went there on their honeymoon in 1957, and we have vacationed there in September my entire life. I love your sweet devotions, too, and how you share your faith. Keep the videos coming! ❤

Oh, yeah, I saw Jaws in the Carolina Theater in Hickory, NC. My date and I were the last two people admitted into the theater for its first showing in Hickory. I was completely traumatized. 😂

FYI, (for future reference) Macados is a real treat. They have been around forever, and have restaurants (19 total) in Virginia, west Virginia and NC. Mostly sandwiches, but a huge variety of them, and they are exceptional. Don't pass it up next time!

I love Mast General Store in Boone. When you return you should try a restaurant called The Local in Howard Street. Had great dinner there about three weeks ago.

If I keep the hammer down, I can get to Boone in under 4.5 hours from North Charleston, SC , with a Columbia, SC, rest area break and a window hamburger. You cause backups on I-26 and 77 to Charlotte if you drive under 80 mph.

Waited in line to see JAWS the first night it came out…..also took a first date to the showing…..movie scared her to death….was my last date with her!! Love your videos…..we are in the Smokies several times a year…..hope to run in to you both, and Big T one day soon!

We visited Boone 3 years ago for our anniversary. Live just 87 miles away..and yes, I saw Jaws when it premiered in 1975😊 Thanks for all you do. 😊God Bless.

Been to Boone a couple times, both times taking our youth group to work at the Samaritan’s Purse collection center. On one of the trips, I drove one church van and our pastor drove the other with him in front. I’m not sure whose driving directions he used but we ended up in Shady Valley… beautiful place, but not our destination.

I’ve lived in Avery County (the next county over) most of my life. List of restaurants in Boone to check out: Black Cat Burrito, Coyote Kitchen, Troy’s Diner, and Come Back Shack. Attractions nearby to check out: Tweetsie Railroad, The Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, The Woolly Worm Festival (in October), Land of Oz (Beech Mountain NC), Mountain Coaster (Banner Elk NC), Linville Caverns, Bare Dark Sky Observatory, Mount Mitchell
