Glory to God! The Orthodox liturgical calendar is such a blessing. Converting from mormonism which has no liturgical calendar, my life has been so enriched coming together with my parish community and celebrating the many feasts and fasts throughout the year! God bless 🙏☦️

March 25th being the New Year also makes sense because the World was made Anew on that day via the Resurrection of Christ. It's also the day that Frodo destroyed the One Ring.

I thought Catholics used the Annunciation as the start of the New Year.

The Church in Britannia did and the Anglicans continued that Tradition until recently. The Annunciation is also according to the Patristic Tradition the Day Christ died on the Cross. That's why Kyriopascha is such a big deal

It would be great if you could make a video on the giants and the Annunaki stories and posts flooding the internet. Which claim that the human race is GMO. These people quote Bible verses, where God regretted having created humans. The view of the EOC and the early church fathers would be very much appreciated!

@@Patristix I've been watching the videos and searching, but cannot find anything on the Book of Enoch, Anunnaki, Nebiru, etc. Could you give me a link or more specific info? Thanks! I am trying to convince people that they are being deceived with all this stuff, but it's so difficult... Hundreds of thousands of people seem to believe we stem from aliens :( With the internet full of "proofs"...

God regreted creating humans due to the height of sinfulness that humanity had gotten to (the verse is from before the flood when humanity was full of sins). As for the people saying we come from aliens or whatever that directely goes against what the Bible and the Orthodox Church says (that we are made by God in his image and likeness) and no amount of out of context and missinterpreted verses can change that. Also, the book of Enoch is not in the canon for a reason. While you may find some interesting things in there I'd just read actual texts approved by the Church instead... Regarding giants, it's possible that people were different before the flood (they also used to live longer as God hadn't instituted the age limit yet, for example), but to say that it's talking about aliens or whatever is utter nonsense...
