It’s so hard to watch Victoria be critical of herself. It feels emotionally draining and triggering. I want her to quit so she can get healthy, and happy.

Kelcey is so beautiful inside out. She barely got any screentime in DCC making the team so I’m glad she’s being recognized now. Sad she’s leaving. She really is an exceptional person, dancer, and leader to her teammates.

When I saw Kelsey’s day job- caring for that young girl from 7:30 to 4:30 on top of that intense machine of DCC - I was absolutely blown away. So many thoughts. At first Kelli really bothered me but then when they showed the scene we of her at home and her personal side I grew to like her. She is honest and straightforward but also needs to do what’s best for the team. And she has a lot of pressure on her. This series was actually very inspiring.

Reece is such a delight! She’s so down to earth and humble. It’s impossible not to like her!

What’s in their bags? For sure not the money they should be getting paid

The fact that Reece’s most valuable thing is the thing that Victoria gives away ❤❤❤

It's so telling of their personalities what these girls have in their bag: 1) Kelcey: things to survive, a ruthlessly hard work-life, like snacks to fuel herself during the 17 hrs "workday" as a full time nurse and after that a full evening of rehearsals + painkillers because of the pain in her hips due to 5 years of split jumps 2) Victoria (poor Victoria...), she has grown to believe that she is not good enough and that she really has to do all for good looks and win the approval of others, so she has a curling iron, camera lights, spare photo's of herself to hand out. I really hope that she will have a great life in which she finds peace with who she is and not having to afraid of not being good enough... 3) Reese: things that are practical and help her to grow as a performer, like that pirouette sock and the white boot cleaning kit. Yes, she also has a team photo in her bag, but that one is for herself because it has an important emotional value for her Well... bless all the DCC girls, because they really are the stars of the show, showing what fantasic performer-athletes they are, how hard they have to work, and how they are willing to open up and show their vulnerability, happiness, sadness, tiredness, excitement etc. I like how Netflix also followed alumni in this show. I therefore hope that if there will be a second season, they keep following these three ladies and get even deeper into the human story of (all) these fine, talented and nice people. We can learn from them and in the process maybe become better persons by understanding things in life don't come easy! You have to work very very hard for it, and sometimes that is even not enough (and then you also have to deal with it)....

When will this giant, money-making organization, pay these young women for not only their hard work but also for the injuries they may carry their entire lives from doing hip-splitting splits, cartwheels, high kicks, etc., starving themselves, putting their actual careers on hold, not to mention giving their time, talent, youthful beauty and loyalty - and (as is admitted) enhancing the bank accounts of the owners and players? This is a question that is "handled" early on, with some of the cheerleaders and the veteran "minders" who claim that it's all done for free out of pride, appreciation, their future "legacy", love of the Cowboys as the apotheosis of American football, yada yada yada. For heaven's sake, stop exploiting these smart and, yes, loyal young people and give them the salaries they deserve. I found that the most "offensive" thing about the story, is the lack of diversity. They "cover" themselves with a couple of contestants of color. Mostly, it's pretty blonde white girls (also the ones who get "leadership" roles). With so many Black, Latino and Asian players and fans, that feels racist.
