No need to be embarrassed!! Skating is already expensive to begin with. Your tips will definitely help someone who may not want to spend money on bunga pads. Also for socks I would suggest Thinees brand. They are very inexpensive but not sure if you can get it in your country. They are the only socks that I like for skating.

Please don't be embarrassed! Figure skating is quite an expensive sport, so such tips may save a bit of money for a lot of beginners. Tbh despite being a figure skater, I've never thought of substituting bunga pads with old socks, that's quite a tip) thank you! Though, you may try using gel pads from the brand Superior, they're usually not this expensive, I've been using them for quite a while now and they are doing their job perfectly! Other than that, I wish you best of luck with skating! ⛸️
