Just be aware that turmeric & ginger are also natural blood thinners. Just keep this in mind right after having the baby and having some bleeding. I think it's so cute that you wear a necklace with the baby's initial. :)

So happy for you. I live vicariously through you since I had to wait until I was 32 to get married and then I struggled with infertility during the marriage and now I’m 37 and getting divorced. Your videos have brought so much light into my life in some of the darkest times. Been watching since surprise Calvin was conceived. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Would love to see a nursery tour whenever you guys are up to it.

Hospitals are moving away from full baths unless there's a medical reason, but they will often wash just the hair, if you'd like, especially if baby has a lot of hair. But I'm glad more and more they are allowing residual vernix to nourish and protect baby skin. So excited for you!

I did not bath my 3rd baby until week two and she always had the most beautiful skin. My only baby who didn’t go through the baby acne eczema phase! Congratulations so excited for your wonderful family 💕

Hey Ellie and Jared! I just wanted to let you know that aquaphor contains petrolatum which can be a carcinogen due to some of the chemical compounds in it! I just wanted to let you know, because I heard you say you didn't want to bathe her, because of the products they use (totally understandable!!)

And here I brought stuff and I didn't even change lol, I stayed in pj's for 2 days at the hospital, I didn't even shower aha. But I had a roommate, who wasn't the greatest, but oh well.

I love how you promote skin-to-skin. I was not allowed to have skin-to-skin with my baby since she went to the NICU. I’ve only had one baby, but I definitely believe in the benefits of it! It broke my heart to not be able to have that sweet contact.

Ellie, when nursing your lil babe, use your colostrum/milk as your nip cream! As often as you can remember in between feedings, just as you would any of ointment. It does wonders and I never, not once, had a sore nip with my last baby! I'm so excited to see your girl. I've been watching since your pregnancy with Jackson and I'm so happy to see you guys not only have your fourth! But your first baby girl! Also, we always say less is more, but we know better. 😂

How long do they usually keep you in the hospital assuming everything goes well? I live in Canada and I know some of my friends were there for only 12 hours after delivery.

I got depends diapers to bring to the hospital! So much more comfortable than the mesh underwear. The nurses thought it was such a good idea too

Hi Ellie! Dietitian here! Make sure you tell your doctors you are taking the supplements, things such as Ginger can interact with blood clotting medications:)
