depends, depends, depends... i had a c section with my first and another one last week for my second and i have been loving my choice to buy depends instead of messing with the mesh underwear and and the pads. We found it was much more difficult for people to come and go so i was glad i packed a few more cloths and more snacks then i thought we would need. Masks to were a thing we brought we grabbed a pack of n95s this time too.

Hey girl do you wear a pad in the depends??? I forgot from my last and my next one is less than 15 weeks from now and I seriously cant remember

@@amandad2062 nope i used the depends in place of the pad, i got so annoyed with the pad shifting out of place with my first which is why i went with this. no pad no stupid mash underwear just one thing to worry about

Definitely try depends. Best thing that I used after birth. I also loved the love to dream swaddle when I brought it for baby. Maybe dry shampoo if you use that. Good luck! I’m about a month away from giving birth!!

CHAPSTICK. Just in case you need to be on oxygen at all during labor. It's an absolute must. Also, you trying to remember what body wash is called was so relatable 😂

I am due Dec 11 and haven’t even packed yet and I am a first time mom. I just have no motivation. We have the babies stuff packed at least and snacks for my husband. We are also formula feeding from the start as well.

third trimester will do that to you haha I’m the most exhausted uncomfortable version of myself I’ve ever been. Best of luck to us both for a happy healthy labor and delivery experience :) and happy healthy little loves !

100% agree with taking meds with you for headaches ect! I had a killer headache too by the time my girlfriend had given birth, but our midwife’s and nurses were awesome and brought in extra Panadol “for my girlfriend”

I formula fed my 4th baby from the start also and your breasts are going to be incredibly painful for a couple days when your milk comes in. I agree with doubling up on the bras to kind of bind them, cabbage leaves (I don’t know if this actually works but the cold leaves were very soothing), a hot shower or hot washcloths when you can’t stand it anymore for a small let down and I also pump a tiny tiny bit to give me some relief. After a few days it subsided but I was NOT prepared for that level of pain. Can’t wait to see baby!!

I totally hear you with being uncomfortable all of the time 😭😭😭 did you notice being more uncomfortable way earlier on with baby #2? My son is 14 months and I’m 33 weeks pregnant and was never ever this sore and uncomfortable the first time around!!! Wishing you the best labor and delivery 🤗🤗

I can't imagine waiting until a week or so before and not packing!! Lol Make sure you have chapstick and a sleep mask if the lights bother you to help get better sleep.

Yes yes yes to chapstick. I remember the first time around that being one of my most used items. A sleep mask is a fabulous suggestion as well. Thank you :)

I’m Due with my second on the 5th too! Feeling all these things too girl!! Haha I just wanna sleep on my stomach and back soooo bad. Being uncomfortable is definitely worse the second time around lol. Hang in there! We are almost there! 🙌🏼😜

oh yessss definitely back this comment up. My chapstick is in my pocketbook (two of them) haha such dry and chapped lips after delivery. I can’t even imagine doing this with a mask on. What an experience this is going to be. Thank you so much for your kind words and positive vibes :)

Yay!! Baby is almost here!! These are great suggestions. Snacks are a must!! Chapstick for me and YES to meds for spouses. My husband got horribly sore from sleeping on the “couch/bed” thingy. We also took TUMS. Take a baby book for baby’s hand and foot print. We didn’t with our first because we thought they gave those to you. They don’t! They will help you do them but you have to have the book or whatever you want their foot print on.

FYI, my hospital had a snack room on the labor delivery floor. You should look into that too.

No one told me, but when my child was born, I unhappily discovered that our healthcare system doesn't feel it's necessary to provide soap, shampoo etc to new moms. I had to take a bar of soap from the nurses sink to wash! Fingers crossed for an easy labour and delivery this time Allison!

@@themissalliecakes yup no soap, or anything else. Hopefully it's changed now! While we do have universal healthcare, it's got a lot of problems and crazy long wait lists.(sometimes years) I'm really happy for you that this pregnancy is a better experience :)

Hopefully to film the nursery tour a s a p. However it probably won’t happen until after baby is here. I’m due in like 5 days and I’m soooo uncomfortable right now. I can’t wait for that video however!! We love how the room turned out :) thank you so much for your interest

You should always double check with your hospital and not assume that they will provide standard items(more of a tip for first time moms, I'm sure you know!) The nurses at my hospital(in RI) absolutely refused to provide us with a pacifier, so I wish I had remembered to pack one!

oh my gosh no way… what hospital did you deliver in in Rhode Island? I delivered in Rhode Island as well and we for pacifiers. They were pretty awesome where I delivered with providing us with everything we needed and more but definitely agree to call the hospital beforehand ♥️♥️♥️

@@themissalliecakes at Women and Infants, but it might just depend on who you get, I was told that it was hospital policy, but my sister-in-law didn't have the same experience.

Hiii probably after baby is born. The room isn’t 100% done yet so we are going to continue to work on it within the next couple weeks. Baby won’t be utilizing the room for at least 2 months (baby will be in a bassinet with us in our room) and any play time will probably be in the playroom with big brother. Just a couple more homey touches to add and then it’ll be done. I can’t wait to share :)
