I don’t have kids but I enjoy these videos! I’m sure finding food for children can be difficult but I appreciate the efforts you make. I love how you let them try foods and it doesn’t seem like you pressure them with food. You are such a good mama! You pack what that like and it always looks so good!

Just a quick note: after drying the thermos (for the nuggets), add in a paper towel/napkin before putting in the nuggets to keep them crispier/from getting soggy longer

When I was younger, i’d make my own lunch and I’d freeze my thermos overnight and put ice cream in it in the morning and it would still be perfect for lunchtime!!

I got a thermos last year for my son (he was in 3rd grade then), and it was a game changer! He gets free school lunch, but doesn’t always like it so the thermos gives use some great variety for a packed lunch.

Damn man, when I was little, my mum would throw some lunch meat between some bread and throw it in a bag but usually with an apple, sometimes I get really lucky, and she'd throw in a juice box. And this mum is packing a three-course meal for her kids. Lord knows how BIG their bedrooms are.

Ok, so I never knew that you had to prime a thermos before I watched your videos! So THANK YOU for sharing! I always hated when my mom would pack soup or hot things in a thermos when I was a kid because by the time it was lunch, it was lukewarm at best. So, I never packed hot soups or foods for my kids' lunches...until now. They absolutely love being able to have soups, mac 'n cheese, leftovers, etc. for lunches. When I saw your first lunch video way back when where you mentioned priming the thermos, I automatically went online and ordered thermoses for my family. They were soooo happy to have hot foods for lunch when I first packed them a thermos. Priming makes all the difference! When my husband saw me priming the kids' thermoses in the morning before school, it blew his mind when I explained what I was doing. Apparently he also grew up having lukewarm soup in thermoses for lunch. Haha. Thank you again for sharing.😊

We make the banana/tortilla snack; but call if banana sushi! We also add a little sprinkle of cinnamon on top of the peanut butter. And when I have it, a bit of honey, before placing the banana down. It’s a big hit for my school aged girl, too!

OMG!!! that thermos is a game-changer for me as my son's school does not heat up lunches and I've been dropping off lunches midday Monday through Friday so I didn't have to send him with a sandwich or something cold every day.

I tried packing chicken poppers in my daughter's primed thermos, but she complained that it was chewy like gum.... Now, I only use her thermos for mac n cheese or rice and beans. I love your lunch ideas, but my 7 year old is quite picky 😮‍💨

Tip for apples and bananas - citric acid powder. It’s cheap to get a jar of it. Put a bit maybe a teaspoon in some water and let the fruit sit for a bit doesn’t have to be long. Dry it off and they won’t get brown. I like this better than lemon as it’s just easier than cutting and squeezing.

Love your content, this video especially because I too struggle with a picky kid who wants to take his lunch but only likes 2-3 things lol. I’ve never had any luck with thermos’ tho. First time I tried to do the hot water trick , I couldn’t get it open again 😆

A quick dunk in a small bit of citrus juice will keep apples and bananas from turning brown when exposed to air. Give it a few days to a week and check the lost and found at the school and you may find the missing drink bottle. And always check at the end of the quarter/semester/school year. You may be surprised at that you find that you didn't realize was missing. I used to always put a Hershey's kiss and a Hershey's hug in my kids lunch so at lunch, they were getting a hug and kiss from Mom (especially if they were having a rough day).

I would get the breakfast kit from Blackstone. It has a pancake batter dispenser in it and it might make things like that (pancakes or otherwise) easier to pour.

I might want to try a chocolate banana wrap for myself, lol.

I get water bottles at Dollar Tree. When they inevitability disappear, I'm not out much. Also, for a cheap pancake batter dispenser, wash a large ketchup bottle and use it. Makes it fast and you can make it the night before, just shake & go.
