This video has inspired me to do some research and a lot more reading. Not being able to buy all these books, I might be able to get a few in free ebook or pdf. Being not an American I don't have access the local libraries you talk about, but I'll be searching the internet to see what I can find. You guys in the US are so blessed with all these resources that are easily available. I can only dream to have a library like this, and Bibles like those. Some of the Bibles you've shown I've never heard of them. That all being said, God doesn't make mistakes, I was born in Jamaica for a reason and I will try with the limited resources that are available to me to serve God with everything I've got and all that I am.

Well brother...I’ll say this. We just do the best we can with what we have when we have it. I agree...we are very blessed and I try to always remember that and. Or take it for granted. But it certainly doesn’t make me any better of a Christian. If you’re reading Scripture and praying. You’re doing fine!! Soli Deo Gloria brother!

@@ClaimingChristianity True. There are many people who have plenty of resources and still dont believe in Jesus. There is something about not having a lot and knowing that you have to turn to Jesus for everything that you need. That's me and I'm very grateful to God for his provision all my life. I myself don't believe I need to have a whole lot of Bibles. For me if I can get an ESV Large Print Thinline and a ESV Large Print Regular size Bible and a Bible handbook I'm set. By the way, can you suggest a good Bible Handbook?

Thank You!! Whenever I'm invited into a home, particularly a friend's library....there I stand...tilted head. !!! It leads to such deep conversations that help you to know so much more about that person! It's always a privilege to be allowed such insight into their personal interests. I learned you're a Marine, and you homeschool! (among other obvious interests!) So much to learn from a bookshelf! (I've homeschooled now for 22 years. Two fathers in military ---one died Vietnam....other adopted me.) Again, thank you for sharing!

That’s a sweet library! I’ve got a small little one that I’m building slowly, but it’s getting there. Really liking the Puritan paperbacks, to get before I buy the collected works. Currently reading The Great Gain of Godliness by Thomas Watson. He’s becoming my favorite of the Puritan writers. I appreciate your videos

I am surprised I didn’t see any Puritans: Watson, Flavel, Burroughs etc. And I am also surprised I didn’t see any Arthur Pink. I know no one can everything, and the most important book to read is the Bible.

I NEED some Pink!!! But alas… I do read a lot in audible (although I usually try to get a hard copy also) and your right. We can’t have everything….lol…or every wall in my house would be full of books. Thanks for watching!!

Please do. I kinda forgot to mention that for the first 30 years of my life I barely read 2 pages. Lol. It took a loooong tome to realize how important reading was so by the time I figured that out I was behind. 🤦🏻‍♂️😆. So I kinda went crazy over the last decade playing catch up. One book at a time my friend. One book at a time. Thanks for all the continued support!!

Oh man. I wish I had a better answer then ...all of them... what are you most interested in or what angle or Avenue do you want to focus on right now. That would help me make some better recommendations

@@ClaimingChristianity All of them? Haha, I actually like that answer 😀. I’m into discussing all kinds of issues with atheist friends at the moment I suppose, so your answer kind of fits. I did buy Koukl’s other book (The Story of Reality) also, but haven’t started it yet. Either way, thanks for the reply!

What do you use the different Bibles for? Like which one is your go to church Bible?

Well. The ones in the desk are the ones I regularly read. The bottom one, Cambridge Wide Margin, I wrote in and take notes. This is my “Sunday Bible” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gcBxhbmdkpmwhas.html

I am unfamiliar with your channel, and while I saw a lot of good books on your shelves I found it disconcerting that you recommend Fosters book (Celebration of Discipline) a book chocked full of unbiblical mysticism written by an open theist.

I need to include more for my "heresy shelf." I would like to get a Quran and relevant commentary on it to discuss the truth of the Bible with Muslims. After all, they are most in need of Biblical truth.
