Love seeing a handkerchief included. I carry literally 5-10 of them depending on the time of year. Someone I know took a wax wrap, sewed on two buttons and some thread (like the wind around thing seen on envelopes) and she uses it to make a pouch for used handkerchiefs to keep them separate. They add like nothing to a wash.

Love your sandwhich tin and vintage snack attack box! I too have the bento bag, I use it every day, such a great piece for sack lunch. Great info. on all the bags both small and big. Thanks for all you do!

My mom got me a wooden travel utensil set for Christmas, but when I used the spoon I got splinters around the corners of my mouth, so I’ll have to refinish it before I use it again but I’m absolutely in love with it 😍

Oh no! It definitely should have been sanded and oiled before being sold. Hopefully you can do a better job and continue to use it safely 😬

Great video! I agree: Zero Waster's Shoulder is real. Many a time I've hiked home carrying a bag full of jars/tins/tubs/boxes I've filled at the bulk store. It's always worth it though :)

hi blue, i just wanted to ask your thoughts on 'may contain: milk' on the ingredients section of vegan products

I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking but ‘may contain milk’ means a warning of cross-contamination as the item is made in a factory that also makes other products that contain cow’s milk. It’s unfortunate that we don’t yet have animal flesh and fluid-free factories but is also an inevitable part of transitioning towards a plant-based future from a society who eats animals and their secretions. I eat mostly whole foods so don’t have to read ingredient lists very often but it wouldn’t stop me from eating something just from potential cross-contamination at this point (although it is upsetting to see) as I’m not severely allergic.

Yes, double walled bottles work well to keep hot and cold things in.

Classic dip pen and ink work well.

I'm late to reply, but you could also use a fountain pen and refill it with ink (refills last a while). Some are made with little to no plastic (more expensive) and some are partially made with plastic (little more affordable) but they are reusable either way. You may need to adjust your pen hold style (depending on your current one) for smooth and smudge free writing

@@airari24 I ended up getting a dip pen a few months ago, but thank you for answering anyway! It's true what you say on holding a pen vs my current dip pen. I'm left-handed and I had been holding pens and pencils wrong my entire life until now, had to teach myself to write "properly" haha

I really like your information here. However, the kleen kanteen is an expensive option to all. It would be nice if one of us could make a budgeted variety of " whats in my zero waste bag?".

There are lots of other bottle options with different features. Remember that it’s always cheaper in the long run to reuse than to continually buy single-use as you’ll save so much over the years. But feel free to buy from another brand!

I know that the klean kanteens are pricey but honestly they are the best out there. I've tried lots over the years. They last many many years. They do pop up from time to time pre owned too..
