We haven't shared an updated version of what's in our camera bag in about 3 years! So, we figured it was time! We have definitely learned that less is more sometimes and you don't always need every piece of gear out there to make little videos + shoot some photos along the way!

Love that you're still using the 1DX! I find that an ultra wide and a prime is perfect for me too as well. Also they added 24p to the G7xmkiii in October!

Oh, so happy about this video! And I totally agree about SSDs. Some pretty heavy crocodile tears were shed over here because of crashed hard drive incidents. It's so worth to invest the money + you'll save a looot of money on tissues you'd need otherwise :)

We do every once in a while! Usually if one of the cameras in the video is left out of the bag we will toss in a polaroid camera!

Hey guys! Quick camera question. For your explanation with the g7x, I cannot figure out why 30fps wouldn’t be preferred over 24fps.... what is your reason for wanting a lower frame rate to vlog in? Thanks!

24p has the "cinematic" look. Most movies are in 24p. 30p has more of a camcorder or TV news quality to it. I always shoot and export in 24p unless a client wants something else.

Jack Stolz Thanks for the reply! So my next question would be, can’t you export the footage to 24p even if you film in 30p? Or is that just too much of a hassle

You can totally do that! It's just best practice to have everything running the same frame rate. I guess there can be some weirdness exporting since you're trusting the software to drop 6 frames per second, but in a pinch it would work.

Since you guys document your travels and get paid to make KZfaq videos about those travels, have you ever had problems with customs in other countries when they see all of your camera gear? Do they ever give you a hard time because they don’t believe you are tourists? Just a very curious subscriber who likes to watch your videos and border patrol shows on Netflix 😁😁.

Sorry to say this but you kind of mispronounced Fjällräven, it was a good try though. To pronounce the letter Ä (A with 2 dots) you can think of the sound when you say air, it is the ai in air, that is the same sound as ä. So if you change the ä in Fjällräven to ai maybe it is easier to pronounce:)
