Great review, Andy. I did the earlier one (Kit 6051) I ended up using the kit tracks but I did was make link and length tracks out of them. I worked making short segments, 10 to twenty links at a time. First one is from the bottom of the sprocket to the top of the third road wheel. that's the hardest one. Let that one dry, do something else, and make another segment another day. It works and won't make you too crazy.

Those tracks make the half-track ones look nice and easy... If ever a model cried out for DS tracks, it's this one.

The 2018 version of the yag tiger 6925 includes two baggies of transport tracks plus a metal barrel, sans the tow cable and the p.e. clamps.

why should scale model building always be a relaxing,and pleasurable experience ? .....so we'll just put these nightmare on a sprue tracks in this otherwise nice kit,and ship it out.and with a price tag that will quickly empty some wallets ! uuuugh dragon ! a true love/hate relationship.i would really love to build this kit,but the tracks are kind of scaring me away.thanks for the "heads up".i'm mainly an oob builder,who doesn't like the hassle of ordering extras.anyway great kit review ! thanks,looking forward to your next one.because your videos rock ! :)

I so have that Henschel one on my wishlist but they are hard to come bye... actually my first ever Dragon kit was the Porsche Jagdtiger Premium with those tracks.. sure was a challenge... Awesome review... and shame it's one of those rereleased ones...

The kit is sweet, but the tracks... dear God "Easy tracks"?! Those who came up with this name had a good sense of humour though :D you'd need a whole year to put those tracks together LOL. Really detailed review, thanks for showing this to us Andy!

Hey Andy, I ordered this kit from hobbylinc and it said it came with a few goodies i.e. metal gun barrel, but to my dismay there was nothing like that in the box. Dragon stole my money !

I see I'm rubbing off on you a bit, great review Andy. I was pretty unimpressed with the Henschel Jagdtiger kit. I'm actually still building it, started it maybe 6 months ago and just picked it up trying to finish it this last week. All of the Jagdtigers and Ferdinand/Elefant kits could do with a retooling as they're pretty dated. I had issues fitting the suspension correctly on mine, and some major gaps around the front plate. The side skirt spure in mine said "Revell" on it too. No idea how that could be. My advice on those insane tracks (why are they called E-Z if they're on a sprue?) is to get or make a jig the shape of the sag you want so you can glue them together at your own pace. I'm glad the Henschel version uses standard KT tracks, so mine has Magic Tracks. Mine also came with the metal parts once I took pictures of the box and sent them off to Dragon. Thanks for the nod, I'm not terribly sure I deserve it but I appreciate it.

the tracks construction looks a bit Similar to academy's King Tiger but the academy kit is length and link tracks which save time a lot

i acutally assembled the transport tracks for the JT once, they were just like that. i assembled the two big pieces, wrapped it around the model and let it dry in the right shape. then i took them off, cut off all the tiny bits and glued them on. it was a bit of a pain to cut all the pieces, but assembling it was not that tricky.

When I was first looking for Dragon Jagd Tiger 6050 I couldn't seem to get my hands on it so I ended up buying 9036 instead and it came with the narrower delivery style tracks with it, they only have 3 parts to the link instead of 5 if you want those I would be more than happy to let you have them because I am replacing them with Tamiya 35165 King Tiger track set that is 2 parts to the link or if you decide to try the Tamiya ones they are about $20.00 at Lucky model and right now they have 1 set in stock.

Nice inbox, Those tracks are not the worst ive seen(sherman)but I culd see where there is a problem, I wuld use contacta or something thicker like regular tamiya just for the bends. Make shure you do some zen yoga and give out earplugs to the family before you tackle the PE clips ;)

great stuff buddy, have you tried 'tacking' the track links with masking fluid? then glue when all in one run. hope this helps. keep up the good work, cheers.

Those tracks indeed seem to be the same as the ones on their earlier release, which were a pain to clean up and assemble... I've seen a new 2 in 1 release of the Jagdtiger Porshe this Nov 2018, and I'm curious if they already improved the tracks on that one... guess I'll have to wait for the review before grabbing it. (Edit: I rechecked the box picture in the newest 2 in 1 release and it's still says EZ tracks... awww crap)

Nice Review ! That's a lot of Road wheels and... Those tracks look very challenging... Just the clean up alone.. Ouch ! but in the end it will look like a JagdTiger.... Hope you get to it eventually ? Just realized you have a DRAGON WALL behind you .... do they come with Ibuprofen for the headaches ? LOL

I have the kit that is shown at the 2:33 mark. I got it at my local hobby store for half price, $24.50, about six months ago. I have yet to open it up. I wonder what kind of tracks are inside? Nice review. I did not realize there were track issues with the dragon kits. In my stash I have Dragon JagdTiger Kits 6050 (Henschel) and 6051 (Porsche) Where do they fit into this family of kits and do they have the same track issues. I have stashed a lot of Dragon and tabiya armour kits and now am ready to begin on my retirement projects.

How do you get those metal tow cables to behave? I cannot for the life of me get the "memory" out of them and get them to look good.

really nice kit but its the tracks just make me not want to buy this kit and if im going to buy this kit im gonna have to buy different tracks it just a shame:(
