Thanks for the video. I’ve always been curious to see what’s inside a horsehair gloves since I own a few pairs and from seeing this video it really shows that it takes a lot of time to combine all the parts to complete the gloves so really nice to see.

Yep. They are not very good at protecting your hands and can do a lot of damage. They can be compromise easier than foam. Personally I think boxi g should mov😮e to better technology in gloves. Horsehair gloves are outdated.

When a 277lbs bare knuckle fighter does this, of course you will feel it. That’s probably why Wilder thought he cheated. Wilder hits hard, but his hands can’t handle it. His hands need extra cushioning. The gloves doesn’t only protect the face, as it protects the hands too. The less protection, the higher risk to both face and fist. This frustrated Deontay a lot!

Horse hair was a form of padding used in boxing gloves for decades prior to any of these sophisticated foams we see nowadays. A lot of boxers still prefer horse hair because of the softness and pliability: and of course the damage it causes over higher padded foam gloves.

Depends on your weight but really people dont care and use smaller oz gloves if u got beef with your sparring partner 14oz cleto reyes i use 16oz gloves im not trying to hurt people n i weight 170
