I don’t know why some people hate on the fact that South Africa and all of Africa in general is urbanizing! This will do great for the economy as well as provide jobs. It’s also bringing the continent out of a primitive state where, in some countries, the bargaining system is still in place. This is an amazing mall! Loved the video.

I'm from Brazil. I visited Johannesburg with my family on June 2020 because my grandparents and mother lived there in the 1990's. We went to the Mall Of África one day and as we were arriving at out hotel, 4 armed men(assault rifles and pistols) went to the drivers window and pulled out a rifle right on my dad's face. They wanted his rolex. By reflection, my dad grabbed the gun and pushed it. We're lucky God did not allow him to be shot. One of them also put a gun into my mother's chest and told us(me, my brother and his girl friend, my sister and her best friend) that he was gonna kill my mother if we didnt give him everything we had. We are very lucky none of us were killed. To this day, we are still traumatized. I had to open the backdoor so they would let my parents alone. God bless You.
