Kreng kreng in old time Jamaica was a wire basket that was hung over the open fire in the fireside. Always, meat, tripe etc. was placed in it so it would be smoked. Pieces of this smoked 'meat kind' would then be cut and added to what was being cooked to add flavour. The meat kind was from pig, goat etc. that was butchered by individual families. This is the best I can explain.

WONDERFUL...during my research on Queen Nanny of the Maroons of Jamaica I learnt that once there were a Ship loaded with captives from Sierra Leone and the ship got wrecked in Jamaica and the captured took the opportunity to join the Maroons in the hills. This is what I learnt, probably you all can do some research on this. BLESSINGS from GRENADA.

We Africans have always looked to Jamaicans as family I reside in Canada and have great Jamaican friends and even travelled to Jamaica. Well done to both of you

No Xavier we Sierra Leoneans are very tolerant especially to strangers and we love and admire them. We do not get angry if you do not pronounce properly because we are aware of other people's languages.

John Henry Smythe is the man u can Google One of the first defeats Jamaican troops in Sierra Leone suffered was at the hands of the Ashanti The British West India regiment had a base in that country for years it was made up of mainly Jamaican slaves.jamaicans also fought in Africa after emancipation There were many conflicts after the first Sierra Leone defeat

He does not know the history between Jamaica and Sierra Leone There is a reason why he was Puta colonizer .The British West India regiment was stationed there .The regiment were mainly Jamaican slaves and were defeated by the Ashanti in the early nineteenth century .The Jamaicans fought all over Africa before and after emancipation.
