I’m studying journalism in Sheffield, I met and interviewed Chris Wilder last year. He was promoting a fundraiser for a hospice that deals with cancer patients, and apparently he does loads of other community stuff too. Great bloke, so happy for his success.

I'm an old (70) scouser and this reminds of early Liverpool. Watching Sheffield get themselves into the position they are now is a reminder of how the leagues system is supposed to work. The tiers from 4th to PL offers not only local club football but present teams lower down with the desire and opportunity to climb up as they get better. And, it's especially heart warming to see a team that is not reliant on spending hundreds of millions on players in order to play attractive and serious football against the big boys. Certainly looks to me like Chris has done and is doing a great job there and I wish them as much success as possible to keep the working class football dream alive. Much respect to all.

I absolutely love what's going on here at Sheffield United. I've even subscribed to their youtube channel to see the behind the scenes stuff - it's totally refreshing to see a club like this get to where they are and one which shows insight to the day-to-day stuff away from the pitch. Keep up the good work

Amazing manager he reminds me of Brian clough . He is a one in a generation manager, maybe not another like him in the next 20 years. Class, I hope they get champions league as it is what footie needs. The whole working mens club was total class

As much as I like what Chris Wilder has done for Sheffield United this season next season will be a big test for him to see how well he copes with the increased matches that will come his way. I just hope he can sustain the momentum for next season and I just hope it's not the first season syndrome that many managers go through when they've been promoted.

I don't think it will be first season syndrome. Chris got them promoted to the championship and whilst its not on par, that will provide valuable experience

Championship is 46 games, compared to the prems 38. We are used to more matches, also we have one of the fittest sides in the league. I don't think it will effect us too much.

@@qzit I was actually referring to the European Competitions that this team could possibly find themselves in. While it's good to be in a European competition it does take its toll on the team as the season goes on. Burnley is a prime example of this. Wolves just about managed to find their feet during the course of the season but even they struggled to win games for a period this season.

@@matthewk9131 with Burnley and wolves it was because of the qualifying round however sheffield can finish top 6 and avoid them, also if say wolves win Europa it means englands qualifying round spot is removed.

I’d still put pep above him, once we’ve asserted ourselves as regulars in the European conversation that’s when I’d say he’s on that level

kahleb Howarth-jennings 100% pep and jose’s cvs are just too good to even be questioned but chris wilder is definitely at the table and how he’s gotten there in such a short time (at the top flight) is extraordinary. I’d say alongside would be nuno and brendan rodgers (with obvs klopp, jose, ancelotti and pep)

100 procent James. He impressed me a lot how far Sheffield United has and look at them they can feel their europe championship on a tour. They deserve it,look what Wolves did last season that was impressive. I wish Chris Wilder and the boys best of luck for the coming games and Europe whatever may be whether it’s champions league or Europa league.
