Well, his son is a follow his own dreams to you sit there and watch something on somebody if that’s what he wants and he should do it but if you don’t wanna do that and he has another dream then he needs to follow his own dream. I hate that when people say they’re try to push a dream when somebody else we just cause it’s family does some certain don’t mean he should do it. That’s his choice if he wants to some people some kids don’t wanna take over their family business so that’s up to them and people need to let it be up to them.

I love and trust Dr Pol so much that I’m considering driving 14 hours to have him look at my medical service dog. He’s not just a service dog.....he’s my best friend, companion, and lots and lots more.

I hate to see animals in pain. Or owners of pets sad and crying. Yet I love watching Incredible Dr. Pol. It is very helpful and educational. Dr Pol and his staff truly love animals.I love that Dr Pol doesnt give up on his patients n he does everything he needs to do to help them. I huge Thank you to Dr Pol and all his staff for the care you give not just for the animals but thier owners as well

My thoughts Exactly!! They obviously had an ill puppy in their care and did nothing to help her. They just passed her off to someone else to deal with. She could have lost her life due to their neglegents. SMH!

Yeah, well she said that leaving the practice was bittersweet. She left because she could get more time her family back where she came from, but she would miss her co-workers. She was often on call at Dr. Pol’s office.

I love Dr Pol. Those emus are cute. We aren’t allowed to keep emus for pets, here in Australia. They do need a large yard so there not suitable for in town. I learned a lot about the horse with the cancer on the third eyelid. That was very interesting.

Am I the only one who was upset when the Farmer was only worried about breeding that poor Ewe with the prolapsed uterus? The poor thing was in pain and he seemed to only care about making $$ off her.

that is how farming works. If they can't make money on them they have to sell to slaughter, as long as the animal makes money for the farmer the farmer is happy to take good care of the animal.

@@jillwisland680 I definitely understand that. We raised pigs for meat. My daughter was in 4-H & FFA. I just think he could have voiced concern about her welfare and how much pain she was in rather than focusing on breeding her again.

last lambing season, I had a ewe go down with a pineapple-sized prolapse. my vet was 2 hours away due to traffic and she was in labor, in agony, and nothing would keep that prolapse in. I slit her throat to euthanize her (so I'd have more time to rescue the lambs), c-sectioned the lambs, and they were about two weeks from full term. I tubed the one that I managed to bring around and it still died. It sucked. I was out digging a hole for them at midnight in a drizzling rain. That's farming. I still feel bad for her. It was a monetary loss, too, but there's nothing you can do about that.

further explanation: when the ewe goes down and dies and the lambs are still inside, you have a VERY short time to rescue those lambs from the uterus before they lose all access to oxygen via the umbilical cord and die, too. If you shoot the ewe to euthanize her, you lose that oxygen supply almost immediately. If you slit the throat, she loses consciousness from blood loss in a second or less but the body continues to push that blood through the system (full of oxygen) and take care of those babies for those precious few moments, giving you time to rescue them. If putting down a ewe, I would much rather shoot the animal and make it instant. As it was, I tried to give her lambs a chance to survive. That's it. It didn't happen. It sucked.

When I was a kid I would watch this thinking I wanted to do what they do, I even speak a little dutch myself! I wanted to be a vet so bad, I used to imagine how I could I would have been being a smart clean professional vet while at thr same time also able to resist getting filthy and dirty with any type of animal, it takes brain and it also takes actual muscular strength, plus my love for farm animals... and my ability to hardly ever being disgusted by anything, I would have rocked at this job!

I wish we had a vet that would help out with chickens, I called the vet’s In my area because one of my chickens hurt its leg they all said they don’t help with large animals. The one vet that was a mobile vet gave me the run around for over a month. I just don’t understand I think dogs and other animals are larger than chickens. Thank you to the Polls for caring so much.
