Just saw your response to another post about Moonglow being fugitive…that just means that one of the pigments in the paint will fade over time when exposed to sunlight. I personally LOVE Moonglow, and use it either in my sketchbook (no sunlight hitting it, so no fading!) or if used in a gift painting, I frame it behind UV blocking glass. Never had a problem over years and years of painting with it. Also, most watercolors are not hung in direct sunlight where fading would be far more problematic…don’t worry and enjoy this fabulous color, especially if you’re not selling your art or expecting it to last centuries!😊

Your sketches are so cute, and the ones you painted are so pretty and vibrant. You've got some really nice supplies to work and 'play' with. Have fun creating! Watercolor blocks are the best it keeps your bigger paintings from warping. Cotton is so much nicer to paint on than cellulose and Baohong Academy or their artist grade paper is my top paper and great value for price

I admit that I've been quite pleased with this paper. Anything new takes time to get used to working with, but so far I've really enjoyed building a relationship with the Baohong paper! ❤❤❤

Gina, Love hearing that enthusiasm in your voice!!! My favorite paints are Daniel Smith!!! Expensive but so worth it. Love the prima tek they granulate and are fun to work with … the luminescent add some nice shimmer I like a little bing some times to add another dimension!! Saukara puts out a clear stardust pen that is wonderful for accenting you snowflakes .. I’m excited for future play and the journey that will emerge!! Enjoy every moment!! Love your paintings… just adorable… ❤❤❤❤

@@TheArtfulAddict It works great on all my colored pencils. I use one of those little metal manual ones with two holes for my square pencils.

Ooooh, I haven't tried my colored pencils yet. Or my watercolor pencils, I'll have to try those, as well!!

@@TheArtfulAddict If you have any Polychromos colored pencils, or any oil base colored pencils, you’ll get them so sharp you may have to register them as a weapon! Lol 🗡️

I hate to tell you this, but one of the pigments in Moonglow is pretty fugitive. It eventually fades, leaving only the gray color. Qor paints, however, are absolutely the best! Check out their Quin Magenta - it’s very close to Opera Pink, but it doesn’t fade and it mixes really well. Another color, Viridian, is notoriously difficult to rewet. Qor’s Viridian is really easy to rewet. Also, the pigment load on these paints is really good. They’re expensive, but worth it.

I am really LOVING the QOR paint set! I will have to check out those shades. I love paint sets, I'll have to see if they come in a set! Ha! I'm not sure what you mean by one of the pigments being 'fugitive'.

You can mix your own moon glow ironically out of quin magenta, viridian, and ultramarine blue or if you don’t have quin magenta you can use a red even. Qor paints are my absolute favorite I own all their colors.
