Born and raised in Mogadishu, but my family used to live in Berbera while my Dad was marine corps. When I heard your mom saying "Gaxash" bum my mind traveled back fast 😂😂😂. Definitely your mom knows about the fish 🐟🐟 because her choice is the best fish in fridge.

@cobrazcd no this is not where Berber people came from. They originally come from Northern Africa. Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and some other places.

Always surprises me how most of the Red Sea side of Somalia is hot and dry from Zeilac all the way to Alula yet Bebera is very green. Clean beaches and streets, beautiful roads. Thank you for sharing.

If you plant trees, it will turn green. Thais is what the mayor of Berbera has been doing for a number of years. There are also many older trees planted many decades ago.

Beautiful Berbera Sea! Samiya, thanks for all those nice scenes. I will say enough of Mogadishu and Hargeysa and Barbera. how about DJabuti city, Dira Dawa and Harar? We envy you up here in this cold Minnesota winter. My Allah please you and our homeland.

you are right. new berbera is much older than hargeisa but Malao as it was known in a few millennia ago. just google it for fun ( Malao)
