You all will love it. Try Dicks Last Resort, Cherokee Grill, Alamo, No Way José, Landmark Bar and grill. Heaf to the chair lift and Skybridge. Anakeesta, the Wineries, and Moonshine tastings. Cotton Candy wine was pretty good if you like sweet, birthday cake wine, try samples. Have fun, enjoy, and always be safe.

Thanks so much for the great info. We will be heading to Gatlinburg in early November, as that is when the leaves now change in Gatlinburg proper. Sure, Gatlinburg is ultra touristy and some may say it is a, "tourist trap" but there is something alluring there that keeps us coming back. My favorite part? Without question the spot where Parkway meets the beginning of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We call it the "Wall of Darkness" at night. Even during the day that spot is so cool as there is much symbolism between the carnival atmosphere of Gatlinburg and the abrupt shift to the serenity and pristine nature of the national park. There is nothing like that exact spot up in the Boone/Banner Elk/Blowing Rock area and really not even at the southern terminus of the park stretch of 441 in Cherokee as the similar spot where the park stops/starts in Cherokee is already out from town a bit. 🙂

We had a blast last week!! Tons of distillery visits, hillbilly golf, mountain coasters and Crocketts was amazing for breakfast!! Explored Cades cove, Parson Branch road and the tail of the dragon. Such an fun area to explore with the Jeep!! Thanks for the videos!! Looks like you had a beautiful weather day for filming it was 95+ every day last week lol.

Just spent last week in Gatlinburg…Aug 20-27…our “home away from home.” Tried 3 nights to eat at Taste of Italy…closed, but we didn’t know why…now we know!!! Will be back early November. We are true senior citizens and just enjoy laid back living and good eating. Thanks for your videos.

This year I am handicapped to a certain degree, recovering from a fractured calcaneus so we couldn’t do much walking. I used to say “any day at the beach is a great day,” but now I say, “any day in Gatlinburg/ surrounding area is a great day!”

Honking in the tunnel is a TRADITION!!! Haha. I don’t think too many people are going to respect the sign but hopefully there will be less honking than before!! Maybe honking is what happened to the tunnel other than being old.

My wife and I had a near useless experience at Crazy Mason's downtown. We learned to not return...little flavor with a high price... and good ice cream is a truly hit or miss. The best experience was at the Log Cabin Pancake House...really good food, a fast moving line to get in and welcoming service.

Hampton Inn Gatlinburg is pet friendly. Pet fee is $75/stay (1-4 nights) $125/stay (5+ nights) The number of pets allowed is 2. Pet weight limit is 75 lbs. No breed restrictions.

They last posted NOV 19th "We know everyone is anxious to see us back open but we won’t be back open until next year do to us having to rebuild our kitchen!! It’s a bigger space so we can start bottling our own ranch and other stuff! ❤️ we miss y’all and hope y’all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!"

Jan-Feb is the slowest. October with fall colors is fantastic! Christmas-New Years is the busiest. Anytime that most people are at work & kids are in school is best.

People will honk regardless of signs. Aside from being annoying, honking in the tunnels creates cracks faster with the vibrations making repair work to be needed sooner. It would be nice not to have the honking, but just like litter signs, etc. those who want to will ignore them.

I love the Gatlinburg area. My sister lives in Sevierville, just down the road from the Pigeon Forge - Gatlinburg area. And the rest of my family lives in the Knoxville, TN area. I live in Dallas, TX, so it is a treat to visit family in Tennessee to see all the lush green areas there. The last time I was in Gatlinburg, we went to the Pepper Palace. I am a Chile head, and their hottest sauce is delicious, I went home with a jar of it.
