What's New in Mastercam 2019: Section View

Күн бұрынThe new Section View feature allows you to cut away portions of the graphics view to expose hard-to-see or hidden areas of a part. Designate one or more planes as section views and cut away stock models, shaded entities including solids, surfaces, and meshes, wireframe entitles, and toolpaths. Section views can be set when creating or editing a plane and can be saved within a Viewsheet.

this isn't a new feature or Mastercam. You used to be able to use sectioning in some of the older versions of the software. But, Mastercam trying to stay afloat in turning thought it would be more beneficial to get rid of it and concentrate on other aspects of the software. I've been programming for over 18 years in the industry and i have yet to see this software get it right for Turning and Multi-axis. Don't get me wrong it will work, but at double the ass time to program then the other software currently available. If you are a Mill guy, this software is hands down the best on the market and can accommodate all of your needs. Just don't rely on it for your turning and Multi-axis needs.

You should be able to slide and drop the section without all the BS. The simulator allows this, just not very well.
