What's new in Playwright v1.44

Күн бұрынIn this video, we demo the UI updates to the VS Code Extension which include updates and an easier way to select on which projects to run your tests on as well as run your setup tests.
We then take a look at the new accessibility assertions for role, accessible name and description. Followed by how to run your last failed tests on the CLI.
Finally we look at the new options for the locator handler
and clear cookies.

Locator handler will be extremely useful where the request is quicker than the UI.

That setup is handy, i'd wrote a 'developer' mode check in my framework to check if the developer mode .env boolean was true and if the .json storage state existed to skip setup for a user, this test runner toggle is much neater 😄

Major version would be breaking (SemVer wise) and we'd love to never break users! If you have features in mind you wanna see in v2 - feel free to file an issue on GitHub. Happy testing!

my extension does not show the green 'play' after the new update my testDir is correct, but my explorer does not find any test my node, vscode and playwright extensions are the current versions could please help?

2:00 it looks wrong that the watched test runs after the changes were made to the not watched test

it runs after you save the file. It doesn't matter what changes you make to what test what matters is when you save the file the watched tests will run: 2:06 you can see the file is not saved and a second later we save the file.
