I think the secret is out about Washington, DC! People are figuring out we have great restaurants with a multicultural food scene, lots of day and night entertainment and sports, historical sites, hip walkable neighborhoods, mostly nearly all free museums and zoo to suit adults and kids alike, and an awesome mass transit system! Easy day trips to the shore or to the mountains. So I predict we will see more tourism in DC during busy times, and even off-season. 🤩

Coming 3/10 to 3/15. It’s our kiddos 10th birthday and this trip is the gift. I’ve been reviewing your videos for the past 6 months. You’re extremely helpful and captivating with how you present the info so thanks after watching tons of your videos. The one thing I’m most nervous about is we got a confirmation to tour the White House at 11am but our flight from DCA doesn’t come in until 9am. Already told the hotel we’re dropping off all bags and it’s about an 8 minute drive away. Should we get a ride share or will traffic be crazy?

Hi, firstly I need to say thanks for short to the point Info. We are 2 families of 4 visting DC in July. Unfortunately only for 2 days. Arriving by Amtrack. Would you recommend a walking guided tour for the one day as we would like to do the air ans space museum in Virginia the next day before leaving back to NY the evening. Ps. We are from Johannesburg South Africa 🇿🇦 Love your channel, keep up the good work!

With only 2 days you need to maximize your time as best as possible so yes, a guided tour will be your best option.

Super stressed about our upcoming trip in March with Twin Toddlers! 😅 Your tours are booked up but the videos are a great help! We are tagging along for a business conference that will be in National harbor. We have opted to rent a car since we will have two car seats but plan to park at the metro station on the green line at Branch ave. So we don’t drive in town.

as a dc resident, especially during the time of year where tourist crowds are heavy i find carrying cash to be a little stressful, plus someone may try and steal it if you have it out. many places offer electronic pay options which many people tend to prefer, but it's up to you.

Thanks for these helpful information. I've watched a lot of clips from your channel to prepare for my trip next month. I have some questions that I feel a very few people wear dresses to the festival. Is it very cold in mid april? In addition, I have only 1 day to visit, I plan to spend 5 hours around the Tidal Basin and move to the other places such as the U.S. Capitol. Is one day slightly enough to see some most attraction places in general? Thanks again!
@TripHacksDC
@TripHacksDC Жыл бұрын
One day is definitely not enough time to see DC. You need to pick exactly what you want to see and focus on that. April is typically jacket weather.

We have a noon White House tour in the first week of March. Should we drive and pay for parking (staying in Barracks Row area) so we have a place to leave our stuff? If we take the metro what do we do with everything (stroller, backpacks, etc)? Traveling with a 7month old, 8 yo, and two 11yos. Thanks!

What is the tourism scene like in October? Planning on taking a week long trip from Texas, but I’m just not a big fan of large crowds (thanks anxiety and agoraphobia). Of course I know there will always be “a lot” of people but is it as busy then as it is in April?

Having recently been to DC Thanksgiving week, it felt like something was missing. I firmly believe that the people make the city, and DC wouldn’t be DC without the crowds. I really would like to experience the city with more people in it. Keep in mind this is the perspective of someone who cannot see the sights from a visual standpoint.
