Imagine Steveson wrestling with Ferrari at Iowa and then recruiting Alirez and Parco. Add in Barraclough for depth and that dual vs Penn State would be very interesting.

I'm a life long wrestler and life long WWE fan. I could tell the first time he was on WWE TV he wasn't going to make it. He is AWFUL in the ring, he is AWFUL on the mic. It was really weird seeing how intense and energetic he was wrestling and then seeing how awkward he was in WWE.. the other issue he has when it comes to WWE, he's not really all that impressive to look at. He's on the short side in terms of height and he's not really built/jacked. Jacob Kasper is doing pretty well in WWE and while he was no where near as good a wrestler than Gable, he's definitely a MUCH more charismatic and entertaining WWE superstar, which is all that matters in that industry.

@dinocollins720 the funny thing is, Gable's freshman year at Minnesota where he was strutting around, acting all cocky, going the shuffle mid match, shouting and taunting to the crowd, pumping his chest, when he beat Derek White and shouted "This is my house!!!!," Gable oozed with confidence. In WWE in front of the live massive audiences, he became a meek mild mouse. Go look up any of these WWE videos. Go look up when he and Tamyra Mensah Stock were guests getting honored for their Olympic Golds as guests on Monday Night Raw. Mensah Stock was so full of energy and bouncing all over the place, playing up the crowd, and they LOVED her. Gable was just passively walking around like a shy boy at a school dance, afraid to ask a girl to dance. It was honestly embarrassing. Honestly, I think the large crowds scared the crap out of him. Had he brought the confidence and attitude he had as a freshman, the crowd would have loved him. The audience at WWE events can totally see/feel the energy you bring and Gable simply put NEVER brought it.

"WWE, those guys are big time" ...at showbiz. And yes, they are big, strong, athletic, and put on real moves with pain that are correographed. But the key is showbiz and scripted. They aren't necessarily big time in actual wrestling or MMA...some of them were or are, but most not. Gable happens to lack the WWE image and mouth. But his wrestling exceeds those guys by a country mile. Kurt Angle wasn't even as good. Which is why he needs to regroup on his choice. Wrestling or MMA. Real stuff. MMA would be the choice IF he has the interest and some head start. But if not, then wrestling is the ONLY choice at this time.

Gable's alter ego is noble & and gentlemanly, which isn't an entertaining character for the WWE fan base. Plus, he took a lot of time off after that jab Finally, a return to world level freestyle greatness is risky. Why? It's super competitive & He already achieved it - it's nice going out on top.
