What's Next For The Ottawa Senators? 2024 Off-Season Plan
How will The Ottawa Senators attempt at moving forward and making their team more competitive in 2024-25? How can they bounce back and move back into a playoffs spot after not making the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. I examine the past season, team roster and determine their best plan to improve the team. We address NHL Trade Rumours regarding Ottawa Senators trade rumours and how they should proceed on that. We analyze their 2024 NHL Prospects and deals they may try to make at the draft. They are in good shape with draft picks in the 2024 NHL Draft. We discuss the 2024 NHL Draft prospects they could select as well. There have been plenty of NHL Trade rumours 2024 regarding this team and I am sure there will be some changes. We address the Ottawa Senators rumours and whether they stand a good chance at making some off-season moves. We discuss other NHL free agents 2024 that they could explore signing as well. We will see if any of the Ottawa Senators trade talk will come to be or what direction this team will head in. Chabot is gone and Cronk is going to be up as he seems to be the NVP so far in the Coldercup playoffs with the B sens.

This would be a start, does this actually work cap wise? Jbd is no good and they should also be looking for his replacement as well. Kleven could be promoted

@@carbb5760cap wise 100% works, I always make sure of that, Saros will still be on 5 million for next year, his new 8x8 I have him getting from OTT kicks in Summer 2025 not this summer, this roster actually has OTT having 3 million in cap still, I did it on CapFriendly

Ottawa kind of blew it they had Debrincat got Chykryn and aged Giroux and still couldn't make the playoffs.I heard talk of them trading Chykryn and of course Debrincat is gone and Giroux will be sliding.Having said that I feel they suffer like the Habs from terrible coaching.I am not a Batherson fan I would have traded him long ago. Goalies are NOT to blame we have seen countless no name goalies put up numbers when on good teams.People talk about Hellebucyk like he is a Vezina goalie well he had a 5.23 playoff GAA when it MATTERS so people really don't know hockey or goalies like they THINK they do.

Everyone is available except Tkachuk, Stutzle and Sanderson maybe add Batherson because of his contract. Both goalies got to go. Need new coaching staff. Need a few more vets in the lineup. Surround offensive players with good two way players to balance the lines. Blow up the 4th line and the bottom D pair. Not an easy task.

Tyler Toffoli would be a perfect fit for the Senators. In the top six. I would like to see Staios bring in someone like Dakota Joshua or Kiefer Sherwood for the 3rd line and a veteran like Corey Perry or Adam Henrique. Also I agree the Senators need a right shot defenseman.

Great Video, as usual, Mike. I think The Ottawa Senators are much further away than many people thought for last year. I think that Alex DeBrincat from Chicago began the problem & was likely a Step Back that has put them back in The Rebuild. Let me know what you think

Pee Wee Bettman showed yet again how much of a slime he is by penalizing the Sens and docking them of a 1st round pick after the sale was completed and years after the event itself. Absolute disgrace. Go Sens 🤷🏒🏒😡

@@matthewgregory8218 Not disputing that, I question waiting until after the sale is finalized and years later for it. That part is slimmy. PD really screwed it up, hindsight of course but imagine Ottawa also have Kevin Korchinski instead of the DeBrincat disaster and maybe Joey Daccord in goal instead of Korpisalo. Just venting here. 😳😳

I don't agree that they should pick a Dman, there are some good ones for sure. But there's a couple forwards there aswell that I would not pass up on. I think they could still get a good Dman the Boston pick.

Trade Chopot and Hamonic, they are the ones that are struggling really bad, Hamonic for Draft picks, he reminds me of Zeitsev, sloppy play from those two

If I was in the Ottawa brass, I would do what I could to hire John Gruden, the head coach of the Toronto AHL team, as their next head coach. He's someone that they know, someone they can trust and someone who can- hopefully- lead the Senators to greatness.

We are going to miss out on players, coaches etc because Staios doesn’t know what he is doing and takes too long to make decisions. He should have hired a GM with experience. Him hiring himself to me is arrogant. Not impressed with this new ownership.
