I think irresponsible for the interviewer to not disclose to them the level of hate and bias, trans people experience in the United States. It is exactly the same as Lebanon and I live in New York City and people don't fool yourselves that just because it's New York you not gonna get beat or raped discriminated against or be able to get a job as a trans person. Lebanon provides absolutely NO legal protections for trans people when it comes to discrimination or "hate crimes", and in fact CRIMINALIZES it, whereas the US openly celebrates trans people with several extremely moronic and redundant holidays. Where are all the Lebanese corporations and politicians expressing support for trans? Is the Lebanese prime minister hiring trans people to his staff and having trans people come to the capital and all that? Where are all the trans flags being flown openly in Lebanon? And apparently, they really, really like clicking on those stories to complain about it while they could, you know, just don't. Or go to any other channels that will repeat the same old news they all do.

If a local news station covered a state fair, would that not be news? 60 Minutes actively does character profiles and that's considered news yet you don't go around commenting about that, do you? It's time to examine your own biases.

These comments are disgusting. I'm glad I only read them after watching this doc. I'm very glad that journalists are pursuing all kinds of topics related to all kinds of oppressed peoples.
