Hey WB, hope your week has been great. I've got a moderate size pull list again: • Amazing Spider-Man #88.BEY - The handful of Beyond branded issues so far have actually been surprisingly decent, so hopefully this one ends up good as well. Recent solicits have confirmed however that Marvel is already planning on moving back to a miserable Peter with an issue number reboot, with John Romita Jr's meh art no less, so I guess I'll just try to enjoy the last few issues of this story before I drop the book again. • Devil's Reign #4 • Mighty Morphin #16 • New Mutants #24 - I'm still behind on a couple X books, but I'm looking forward to seeing how the Shadow King plot finishes up. • Radiant Black #12 • Secret X-Men #1 - I'm pretty sure I voted Boom-Boom during the last X-Men election, but obviously Polaris won, so I'm looking forward to seeing who she inevitably blows up in this one shot. • X Deaths of Wolverine #2 - I'm really happy that this half of the "event" seems to be a continuation of Inferno, because while I don't mind Wolverine fighting over in X Lives, I can get that in his own book and X-Force. That book feels like it could have just been issues of X-Force easily. As you said in the video, the only constant for Marvel is piling Wolverine into as much stuff as possible and hoping it sells, just like DC with Batman, and I suspect that may be happening to an extent here. As one last bonus thing to mention, I'm really happy to note that the Excalibur Omnibus vol.2, finishing up the classic Claremont/Alan Davis section of the original run, is coming out this week. For a long time it looked like Excalibur was going to be relegated to old trade paperbacks, but in the last couple years they not only launched the Epic Collection editions of the paperbacks, which are just about caught up to the same spot, but both omnibuses and an expanded Captain Britain omnibus were released as well. For people collecting the really old X-Men material, this has been an exciting couple of years. If anyone else is interested in getting into the omnibus/hardcover collecting, I have one really important piece of advice to provide though - find a place to pre-order, not only because it will likely get you a serious discount, but because some of these books sell crazy fast. If you pre-order, that won't ever be something you have to worry about. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week!
