Val Kilmer is one of the most remarkably talented actors of our generation. His Doc Holliday will forever set the standard, and no one will ever top his portrayal of Jim Morrison. That’s just two roles in a string of great performances done by him. I pray he’s around for a long time to come and for a complete recovery for one of the coolest of them all.

Went to San Jose to see Val and his play Cinema Twain last month. I had no idea what to expect as I did not seek out clips or reviews of his play. First off, Val came out and talked with the audience which was simply quizzical. He then presented his play and we watched. Watching his every movement, listening to his every word, and laughing at his character's humor, Val had the presence of a true comedian, and captured, incarnated all that embodied Samuel Clemens. That evening, we were truly blessed to be there with Val. Thank you for sharing a little piece of yourself with us Val. You are absolutely brilliant !!!!!

This is so sad. Hope Val is doing ok. I know off-topic but so many of the men who have starred in Oliver Stone films(which are some of my favorite) are having a Hell of a time the last few years. Been a fan since I saw "Top Secret!" as a kid. He really had this "larger-than-life" look to him. He should really have gotten more critical acclaim as an actor because if you see him in his roles in Toumbstone, The Doors, Wonderland and Thunderheart you will see a true professional at work.

I love Val Kilmer a lot, I'm 50 and him and Tom Cruise and a ton of the people from back then I grew up with, Patrick Swayze I mean all of my teenage hero's are really struggling or dying. I'm always happy to see Tom doing so good. Val buddy I honestly am praying for you, you are one of my favorite people in Hollywood. I honestly don't have much respect for hardly anyone in Hollywood at this point anymore. Anyone who doesn't think getting older isn't hard, well let me just fill you in on a few things. I was super strong all of my life and I still am, but as you can see from all of your hero's who you can watch grow old thru movies and thru pictures you see. Getting old is super tough and from the pain I feel in my knees everyday when I get home I can only say, I pray for all of you.

In my eyes Val Kilmer is a Tsalagi (Cherokee) Prince, first and foremost! He is my "Saint", my "Daisy", my "Huckleberry", my "Thunderheart", a "Real Genius", my love "At First Site", under a "Comanche Moon"! He chases away "The Ghost And The Darkness", on "Wings Of Courage", he opens "The Doors" to our "True Romance," keeps it "Top Secret", Like the "Knight Rider", being "Masked And Anonymous" at "The Salton Sea", and we like to "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang!" He provides the "Heat", and takes me to "Wonderland", "Stateside", and the "Blind Horizon" on "Planes!" He is "The Real McCoy", "The Prince Of Egypt", "Joe The King", a "Spartan", "Alexander", and "Batman Forever" all rolled into one! He knows "Life's Too Short" to be dreaming life away under a "Willow", and so he's "The Man Who Broke 1,000 Chains" and made my heart a "Felon" to his artistry! And there is no "Deja Vue" when I ask him to "Kill Me Again" with a "Willow". It's our little game. He will always be my "Top Gun", and you can put that on my "Tombstone"!

I absolutely love Val and have always refused to hear anybody criticize him for ANYTHING. The fact that he obviously won't ever be the same incredible actor and awesome scene stealer he was deeply saddens me. I whole-heartedly hope he gets his health back and is able to do major film roles again, but if not, THANK YOU sir for everything you've done to entertain me and for leaving such a massively incredible legacy for us to continue enjoying. Kurt Russell was great in Tombstone, but Val was the star of that movie. Bravo Val BRAVO.

I believe Val Kilmer's portrayal of Batman was so mysterious and deep, that it's easily the best and most realistic glimpse of what it might have been like if Batman was an actual real living person. In my opinion he achieved this by not only showing the heroic side of Batman, but also the flawed and very troubled aspects of his character as well.

I watched his Mark Twain screenplay a few months back and the crowd was a packed house in Spokane, WA--the crowd barely recognized Kilmer as he has stayed out of the media and is a fraction of the person he once was. His voice has been damaged from chemo resulting in a higher-pitched, cleft-palate type of speech pattern. It makes me sad for him to watch him publicly deny the obvious grim health issue. Go see his show, the screenplay was amazing!

Val Kilmer amazed me with his portrayal of Jim Morrison. It was uncanny, and he NAILED it! I wasn't even into the Doors, until a friend dragged me along to watch the movie with her. I became A HUGE fan of theirs, and subsequently poured over books and clips of EVERYTHING! Because of Val, I listened to every known recording, movies, of the Doors and of Jim's poetry. Val and his performance was FLAWLESS! I love all his movies, and agree with others, that he was brilliant in Tombstone! He's also full of courage, and I pray (yes, I LITERALLY pray!) for him and all those going through the journey that is Cancer. Love you Val, hang in there, and God bless you!

He's starting to look a lot like Roger Ebert. You may remember that Ebert had quite a bit of his jaw removed due to cancer. Just a personal observation.

Seems like the public keeps forgetting that the people who starred in movies are still human and they have the same conflicts and illnesses as anyone and aging they do age someone get that plastic surgery but it never looks the same Val Kilmer had his day and he was good it was great in it and eBay going to have another day but why should anyone pick on him or say he doesn't look good it's ridiculous

Go Val you'll always be that hardass from 'Heat' who handled a Benelli M90 like it was an extension of his body and did the fastest combat reloads of an AR15 in any movie ever, salute.
