Corrado VR6? Came out nearly a decade before and will wipe the floor with the Type R in almost every way.

@@buggs9950 At the time!! Corrado were being produced up until the mid 90s. I'm sure you could throw an Astra GSi 2000 or a lotus Carlton in there if you want. I love My vdub but these Type Rs will always be the best for Me. For the early 2000s 😊

@JB95 do you still have it ? Im almost buying a '05 red one with 110.000 miles / 179.000km , were there any major problems ? The owner of the ep i want to buy says that everything is perfect and the car is actually in mint condition , but that mileage ... Its going to be my daily car and i do 25 miles a day so yeah in a couple of years idk if it will die or something ... Whats your opinion ?

@@gamingstorm208 I do indeed, mines now running 245bhp with some bolt on mods and I love it even more! The main thing to look for when buying one, other than the usual stuff with any 2nd hand car, is rust, especially on the sills & rear wheel arches. The K20 is bulletproof as long as the oil is regularly checked and topped up. Only issues I've had with mine is rear brakes sticking on, caused by the handbrake, which is also fairly common.

@@redlineracing4947 Since your last comment, Honda have come back to me, and as I suspected, it's a Bluetooth device. I'm not sure whether it was a factory option or aftermarket - I'm assuming it was the latter. I'm just waiting for Honda to confirm that. In regard to your question about who to contact, it would be the same people, as the they also manage the heritage fleet.

I've always wondered that. This is Honda's heritage ep3 I think. The car has the same reg as every other ep3 reviewed by the press. Kv55 ztm, I know it off by heart now. The car is stock so the only thing i can imagine is that Honda had added it to maybe track how the car was driven? I don't think they want it bouncing off the limiter too much.

D Jibby I’m the same as you, this is the only ep3 EVERYONE review KV55 ZTM that’s always in my mind, I did some SERIOUS digging after the person who made this Video explained it a bit and it is a VERY rare Bluetooth phone add on thingy so you can take calls handsfree. If you dig enough on Honda uk’s website you can find the owners manual for it. Lol it’s stressing me out because I really want a MAXXED out ep3 for my self

@@redlineracing4947 Hahah really? A factory fitted Bluetooth system on an ep3, I'd have never have guessed that. Had mine a year now, glad they've started getting some attention over the last year or so.

D Jibby yes the ep3’s are rapidly becoming an icon, so pissed I cannot find one with all the add ons , best I’ve got it one on order from Ireland for my mum it has 60k miles premier edition fully standard full Honda dealer history and very nice example no rust etc etc , but CANNOT find one with even a pissing sat nav, I expect they’ve all been snatched up and stored in a garage as the maxxed out ep3’s are going to be absolutely sky rocketing in price. Lol oh well

@@redlineracing4947 unless you're buying it to be a garage ornemant, I wouldn't waste your time and money on a sat nav. You can get a 90 quid stereo from Halfords and just replace with the original unit when you sell it. Also, mileage means nothing on these cars. As long as they've been serviced, no rust and there's oil in it when you view it, it should run forever. I paid about a grand more for a low(ish) mileage model, without full service history and regret it. A fully serviced ep3 with 150k miles is better than a 70k miler that hasn't been loved. Anyone that wants an ep3 will likely know about the k20 being bulletproof, so future resale won't be affected by high mileage too much. Just my 2 pence worth. Hope you find one.

I wouldn't say it's unnecessary as it's functional. In fact, the FK8 produces POSITIVE downforce, which is something its rivals cannot do.

@@CarObsession Yes, that is true for the Type R. I don't like the giant wing on the back or the styling but I know it's functional. But for the regular Civic Sport hatch, the fake vents and the "I'm trying so hard to look like a sedan even though I'm a hatchback" styling is not good in my opinion. Those two ugly black squares on the back serve no purpose. I hope Honda goes back to the basics of what a good hatchback should look like when they redesign the current generation.
