I have a chair similar to the Amazon Basics chair, you may be able to unscrew and remove the arma then swap them over to mount them upside down on the opposite side. Then the arms can retain their structural rigidity role but you can still sit cross legged.

Great review! I have the generic office chair it’s not the worst chair in the world fits my needs just fine but I do agree with everything you said I’m around 5’8 159 pounds the only thing that seems to help is the tilt back feature and do wish the cushion was a little bit more padded as well as the arm rest but other than that for a decently good chair it gets the job done you get what you pay for

You should do 200 and under too aka The Ikea markus, Flintan, Dexley/hyken, Ayalon(some as eurotch), staples berwood is pretty good too, it has the best recline of all those. etc

@@SUHSANGOO if you watch the video, the furmax I’m referring to is a different chair (mesh back). The link I have in place of amazons chair is a pleather chair, just like the Amazon chair

My choice would probably be the Colamy basic ergonomic office chair. It looks to have many of the features of the Kirin and Atlas at less money. There look to be two versions a smaller one for smaller individuals currently at $59 (price varies from day to day) and the slightly larger one for about $125. I think Colamy may have one of the best chairs for under $100. It looks to be the same base as the Kirin and Atlas but cut down. 3D arms instead of 4D and a smaller overall size. It's listed on Amazon for around $65 as the COLAMY Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair 300LBS, Mid Back Office Chair. Yeah, not a great name but a great price for a functional ergonomic chair.

When looking for a chair to replace my 15 year old HON that was super comfortable, I became furious at all of the scam reviews out there. I think many of the reviews are just put together without even having the chairs. I bought and subsequently returned a few truly horrible chairs that had "Best Of..." reviews on major web sites. Of course, returning an assembled chair is a nightmare. I decided the only way to find a good chair is still the old way: go to stores and sit in them. I finally found the "Cressfield" chair on sale at an office supply store for only slightly more than the amazon basics chair that you review here, and it is an amazing chair for the price. I believe the Cressfield and amazon basics chairs are basically the same, except for some different-looking plastics. You hit the nail on the head in this review, I think they are light-years above other low-cost chairs, and should be more prominent on the big review sites if they were actually being honest.

Dan I did a thing, bought the atlas headrest and attached it to my Fern. EASILY the best decision and move anyone can make if they aren't afraid of voiding some warranty lol

Hey I love your videos and your honesty (ahnesty :D), I got the hm Aeron and I love to do focus and concentrative tasks in this chair. But to relax while watching videos or streams, even with the Atlas Headrest it is quite uncomfortable. I am very tall and heavy (190cm and 105kg) and I would prefer mesh over fabric. So if you, as the God of Chairs, know any chair that would be perfect for office tasks and chilling? It would be really nice and kind if you have one in mind to look on but if not it's okay. Really love your content! Happy Weekend! P.S: Sorry for some grammar and spelling mistakes, I am from germany.

Ich habe Deutsch lernen in Hochschule! Lol that's all i know. @Chriss - mesh for a heavy big guy is pretty much impossible. If you don't like the Aeron, I guarantee you won't like anything else. Everything else is scratchy, loose, etc. Aeron's are the god of mesh chairs. I would say try the Embody - the material offers a similar body contortion as the mesh, except it's using fabric!! And the headrest is set to come out in a few months!!!

@@Ahnestly haha that's sounds good but a little bit incorrect in grammar, but it is understandable 😄 I really hoped you had some hidden chair in mind but all good. The embody annoyed me with the armrest because they are clunky and not really comfortable for long sessions in my opinion. And the sounds of the backrest are just awful. I thought because the aeron can hold this much weight maybe other chairs would do it too. Do you have a chair in mind that would fit my interests with fabric or isn't there any chair that combines concentration and chilling phases on one chair? @@bigschilling You could check out the Steelcase Leap v2, Steelcase Gesture and Haworth Fern (digital knit). Those are pretty much the best fabric/foam chairs in the market.

Nothing shows up other than an amazon basics chair with small low back and no armrests, and a similar chair to the one reviewed but black with a different style backrest and no purchasing options or pricing on the product :(

Yeah, gaming chairs aren't built for comfort. They use the uncomfortable racing chair design. go to an office chair.

I got a 100$ gaming chair its so disgusting now, I want to get the amazon basic chair I don't mind if it cracks I just don't want it to shed. this gaming chair has literally shed throughout the house it's wild. it just sticks to me and falls off everywhere. the material wont like peel shed right? or maybe the NEO Office chair similar to the basics one? it's got lifting arms which is very nice. idk I NEED THE EXPERT LOL

it’ll most likely peel over time. pretty much have to spend 200+ for a more durable chair. that being said i just bought the brown chair on the left (i got cream). looking forward to it ngl.

@Burgerb0y17 great perspective. Even at $200, lot of PU leather will tear. Best way to preserve is to keep it out of sunlight and not go hard on it with things like shoes or constant rubbing of your feet (single leg tuck folks)

@@Burgerb0y17 I'll be honest i got the amazon chair and hated it. returned it very quickly. you're better off just saving. I got really lucky and found an $800 dollar office chair at a thrift store for $10 it was broken but the manufacturer was able to send me new parts.

7:00 PU leather = chair is fucked. Don't bother. PVC leather would've beena buy but PU is a deal breaker
