Thanks so much, yes I noticed the Amp of plug is not sufficient too, I found another smart plug with 2000 W, and 40 Amp, can be controlled with Alexa for my pump, unfortunately I have to install different application to control that device, thanks again for your help. Best regards

Got the Wyze Plug at Home Depot after about 10 tries it didn’t want to connect. Got the Amazon plug connected on the first try.

Defo the wyze one for me , I see you test a lot of there gear and they just work well and you rate them and your well informed and well trusted

Yeah, Wyze is awesome. You can't beat their pricing for what they offer. The Wyze cam pan was the only one I didn't love thus far. It was still good but not amazing. I think they are coming out with an outdoor camera or doorbell camera next. So stay tuned.

Anybody know with the wyze if you have a double outlet (as in 2 outlets right next to each other) will the wyze cover up the outlet to the side of it? Hopefully this makes sense lol..

Wyze certainly has great products, Awesome review , Eric!!!! Can't see buying these though, all my smart plugs are Etekcity Smart Plugs, using the VeSync app. Works great with Alexa and Google and cost less than even the Wyze plugs. Keep the reviews coming , Eric Great job!!!!

Hello Erick. I just watched your video on Nest and Wyze cams. I own 3 nest outdoor cams, and I've ordered a Wyze cam to try out. I've read a comment saying that if the Wyze cam loses power or WiFi connectivity it has to be manually reset. That's is an issue if you're away from your home. Thanks and love your videos.

Hey Richard, Thank you. I appreciate you watching & commenting. So I've lost power multiple times since having my Wyze cams and I have never had to reset it. It automatically comes back on and connects to my WiFi. The same with all the Wyze products I have. The plugs will reconnect to the Wifi and go back to the state they were when the power went off. on/on or off/off. The bulbs though, when the power comes back on, it reconnect to wifi and turns on. They have it defaulted like this so people can still use the switch. Hopefully, soon, they will let you customize the default setting in the bulbs. BTW: Wyze is working on their outdoor cam. Hope it comes out soon.

I don't recall hearing the comparison but isnt the Amazon plug an actual Smart plug vs a wifi enabled plug? Sure the Amazon plug costs a bit more but Amazon will throw them on combo/package deals. If that's the case then it may be a thought to allow the Amazon Smart plug to run off the Echo Plus hub vs another wifi signal drawing from your router and also having yet another App to manage in your phone?

They are both wifi. Neither one has zigbee.

I watch, hoping to troubleshoot my wyze plug. Bought a wyze plug from Home Depot. After complete setup, tried to control it via Alexa.. but consistently get “server is unresponsive”. Any suggestions b/4 I reach out to customer service. Thanks!

How can l control my outside light if l don't have an outlet near the switch

These are plugs intended for indoor outlets. If you want to control you outside lighting and the lighting has a switch, why don't you just change the switch to a smart switch. I did review on one here - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jrBghc-W2LPKpZ8.html
