100% it's upper management fault. They said in the off-season after losing out on Ohtani "we going to have to improve from within"...They shouldn't have control of this team

The issue is the players lol! Not solely on management but yes management do play a part in this. At the end of the day you're the professional getting paid tons of millions to play be accountable.

Jays are not underperforming. Look at the roster. This falls on the management. They should start rebuilding or retooling with new front office.

Commenting during the commercial. I couldn't give a darn about the blue jays after the way the treated long time seasons ticket holders after the stadium upgrade. The cost of doing baseball is way too high.

There approach to hitting sucks . There is a theory in baseball these days that the 1rst two strikes are yours , the 3rd one is for the team. Try and knock it out of the park all you want no matter what the situation until you get to 2 strikes , then you buckle down and just make contact. I think that's selfish and I don't know for sure if the Jays have bought into it but it sure looks like it . I would like to see more situational hitting, moving runners along , bunting and stealing bases against tough pitchers when it appears you're in for a tough night . I watched Bo talking to Mattingly about hitting , hitting off a T before a game. Bo was doing all the talking. Sums it up doesn't it. I would keep my mouth shut and my ears open but , players are different today .

Swap coaches with whoever you want and this team still wasn’t going to win. The coaches aren’t drafting poorly. They’re not making bad trades. They didn’t chase AA away. They aren’t driving the bus, they’re merely telling everyone where to sit. This begins at the top. The construction of this team is very poor. They lack power, they lack the ability to hit for a good average and they don’t set each other up well. The team is absolutely uninspiring and they will not be a good team for many years

For a whole team to collapse there is something else 'infecting' the team. imo the last 2 ALWC were lost by the gross incompetence of John Schneider. He started Manoah game 1 vs Seattle, and rookie collapsed (not surprising) game2 he yanked Gausmann with a big lead and the team collapsed. JS also pulled starters after 4 innings against Minnesota last year...the Berrios pull was famous, but the game 1 pull was almost as stupid. Conclusion, no team is going to bust itself all year to get to the playoffs when they know the manager is going to torpedo them with his incompetence. Atkins and Schneider are the duo from hell.

I deep dived the Blue Jay stats across the board, pitching and hitting, and I was surprised by how bad it actually is. The fact they are only ten games under .500 with stats like that tells you how bad other teams with better stats are. I could not find any other team with three guys outta the nine in the lineup batting around or below .200. A defense first attitude within the modern game with juiced balls and small ballparks seems kinda silly. Fans like homers. It's as simple as that.

Only a few players have underachieved, the team is just trash. Terrible decisions throughout the years have lead them here. Before rebuilding the team they need to rebuild the front office.
