Marie changed color too in the story mode. They all did the captain Callie and Marie were all yellow to match Neo 3. It just looks like Marie didn’t change cuz the yellow is very bright.

Callie was the first idol, she was basic, simple and inoffensive and lacked depth. Everyone "likes" Callie sure (me included), but it's more that nobody "dislikes" her. The same way nobody can muster any passion to hate her, no one is really passionate about her either. You're not gonna find people as crazy about her as OTH fans are or even Deep Cut because there's not much character to her. She's just a sweet, upbeat personality inside of an amazing design.

Its neat to see the color change in action on idols/hosts, usually thats reserved for splatfest, never for their overall look as to why... well, the squidbeak splatoon IS a team after all, and all of them matching a color emphasizes that (while also preventing neo 3 from "accidentally" splatting them)

Of course at the end of the day you can’t change a persons opinion, Like 14:16 you like Frye so it’s an exception, it’s just a bias. In my personal opinion I think that squid sisters is very basic compared to Deep cut with such diversity. But being that Marie won the splatfest and we didn’t see Callie for half of Splatoon 2 and we didn’t get to see her character development, So honestly I would debate that Callie is more forgotten then Marie Just because of character development. But again, at the end of the day it’s just a game character and you can’t change a persons opinion.

In my eyes Callie seems to change her color a lot of time I see her with pink/hot pink on and sometimes I see her wearing purple like I even drew the squid sister once with Marie wearing green and Callie wearing purple since I couldn’t find pink/hot pink

I grew up with the squid sisters and off the hook so I have more connection with those characters. I am also an introvert and it depends on their bubbly personality, Callie is one of those that I love rather than being irritated.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. For me Callie is very beautiful and my favorite character in Splatoon and I love all of her outfits. I definitely think her Splatoon 3 outfit would have been better if it was in hot pink rather than yellow as I love that outfit so much.

You disappointed me Frye :/ but you made up for it in all the complements you gave our lord and savior Anyways heres a mini book for your efforts, you have done well ( also i beat xenoblade 1 yesterday, im gonna finally play 2 in a few days :) ) 2:04 You could continue the "whats the deal" series by doing videos on the agents if you wanted 4:36 I will admit the only reason i don't hate this outfit is because of the drip (and because Callie is wearing it) but i have to agree, the yellow ink really doesn't suit Callie at all and makes it by far the worse outfit Callie has ever wore 5:55 This is by far my favorite Callie outfit, not only because she looks really cute in it but also because the star on the beanie looks like a star from Kirby, and it would make total sense that Callie is a Kirby fan 7:08 If you really like Bomb Rush Blush you need to listen to the Smash Ultimate remix, it is by far the better version 14:32 "New life goal, find out why Frye hates Callie"

⁠⁠⁠@@ness2949he didn’t need to write a book, he needed to write more. I guess I’ll be the one to do that. Since the early days of splatoon 1, it was very simple. Callie and Marie. You rarely saw one without the other. Over time many splatfests passed, eventually leading to the final fest, where the cousins faced off against each other. This showdown would ultimately change the splatoon timeline forever, with the victor being a protagonist and four’s guide in the splatoon 2 hero mode, and the unfortunate loser becoming an ally towards the enemies. This was the first time Callie and Marie would be really considered separate characters (yes people considered them separate before but now it was an all out war between the two cousins to decide who was better.) It ended up as a VERY close fight, with Marie winning overall. Even after that though, both cousins remained loved by the community. In splatoon 3, both of the characters have dropped in focus, with that going to Neo 3 and Deep cut’s fights. Callie and Marie instead spent the time on the sidelines, telling Neo 3 some cool things about the story, until the amazing Calamari Inkantation 3Mix (go listen to it right now) where the original duo came back one last time…again, to fight Mr. Grizz. And, let’s be clear, SilverCast has a right to his opinion on a digital squid girl, just as you have an opinion over a mid character from a game with more ROM hacks than fans. (Earthbound is still cool though) Even after the hero mode’s conclusion, both squid sisters are still loved by the community for their character designs, personalities, and really good music. I’m not going to get into my favourites for the characters because that would probably be a waste of time to you, but these characters are quite well designed, and many fans will develop favourites. If SilverCast wants to like a digital squid girl, let him like a digital squid girl. (I’m not making any points about Callie because that’s what the video is for.) Thank you for reading book 1 of the trilogy, I’ll start writing some more things now. If you want, I can post book 2 later. I’ll go listen to 7:49 again.

Just so yknow, I didn’t watch the _entire_ video, but most of it, and read the comments, so I certainly don’t need to tell ya why the yellow is a thing lol. Just figured I’d say that I think the alterna fit does indeed slay, I love her slung over hair, choker, heels and black gloves, and regardless of the lore reasons that once again I needn’t say for the ‘why’ of the yellow, I actually do think it suits her too. As for 11:29 , this is something I’m defo glad to hear brought up, (and i was just waiting to hear ya when ya saw ya got it wrong 😂). And it’s something I also think of a lot, cus it’s right- I as a Callie fan gotta wonder, I don’t get it, Marie got more votes back then, but today I see far more Callie love, even polls seem to more often win Callie, so things very clearly have changed, so would Callie be the winner if it had just been today? Eh one can dream. Good assessment on the post-2 story mode scenario too, even if one can’t be certain it’s actually true or not, just smart assessment. But I also bring it up cus even as a Callie fan, I must correct ya, believe me there is still plenty of Marie love too, still very visible, many creators shipping Marie with their own oc too, just so that’s clear. I suppose still just not as much as Callie (imo deservedly so, just imo).

But that’s not actually the full reason I comment at all, cus I didn’t really need to- if I clicked on this video, chances are yeah I’d be a Callie fan, that much is guessable. I really comment cus most people got the Agents to say as a suggestion for another one of these. I comment cus I got something different for ya. You should do Sheldon! He’s the only other character who’s been around from the start who’s actually had important roles that still gets some attention more than the average shopkeeper. He’s my personal most underrated character in the series, I love that he has a trait that drives people crazy, and it’s in a very meta way, like ofc they give you a hurry up button for this! But I just love him as a chatterbox. That’s why I think he deserves all he’s got, shopkeeper in World of Light, manga arc, hero mode 2, allat. You can talk about how peoples annoyance from him all these years can have translated to an ironic adoration for him in the present. Ya can pull from his adventure arc in the manga too, gives him a bit more lore and characterisation. I just think if you _want_ more to do, he’s a staple like the squid sisters too, so there ya have him, fire away.

I can agree with Callie having that piss color. Though. Agent 4 has the yellow ink color. So I like to associate it as Callie tryna to copy agent 4s color because 4 kinda saved her and it's a way of remembering or thanking 4? I'm not too sure how to explain it, but I hope you can understand what I'm tryna say😭 I'm in neutral terms with Callie. I don't like her but I don't hate her. She's not my favorite (probably second to last spot on my fav idol list) but she's alright. I'm not a big fan of the bubbly personality trait either. But I can kinda tolerate it, I guess. She's just there in my opinion. On the other hand, Marie, is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT STORY (Marie is my second fav idol) Also, as for an addition to the series, you should test it out with other different characters. Like the villans or shopkeepers or grizzco bosses, stuff like that. Hell, maybe even do the splatoon bands/ splatbands
