The new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is full of surprises. People love this totally redesigned crossover. However, many of our consumers have been confused about the differences in the trim levels. ES is the base, SE is the mid-range, and SEL is the top of the line. But, how are they different?
Recently our dealership received two Black Diamond Outlanders. One is an SE and the other is an SEL.
On the surface, they look identical. However, under the skin is where the real differences are found. Today we show you how the Outlander SEL is different than the SE.

Just make sure you get an extended warranty I got mines 10 years bumper to bumper now inside and out I believe it was like $1,500 extra but it is worth it.. but the factory one is also a great one it's just doesn't cover bumper to bumper 10 years only 5 bumper to bumper..but the factory 10 years do cover motor and transmission which is the most important parts of the vehicle..

Some of the details you show are not on all models. We bought the 2023 SE and it has leather seats, not what you mention as suede. Also, no sun roof. In fact, the dealer said that the sun roof was available on SE and SEL. Not sure what all they changed for 2023. The 2024 has other changes that are improvements. But in general, a very nice vehicle.

@QUIX4U
@QUIX4U 2 жыл бұрын
@@dudebro6394 Nah - with flattened batteries it won't have ANY power (left) at all, whereas even in the back of nowhere, a can of gas (added to the fuel tank of a petrol - or diesel motor vehicle) will get you home all the way back through the rugged outdoors and back home. No one has put any electric recharge stations anywhere off-road and certainly nowhere near where most will run out of "electric power" (for the all electric PHEV's) if the run out of power - maybe a hundred miles or more into the wilderness (back block) areas.
@PRL1290
@PRL1290 2 жыл бұрын
@@QUIX4U I don't think you understand how the phev works. The phev has a gas engine and operates like a hybrid but has a bigger battery that you can plug in and charge to run on EV mode only. If the battery goes dead you can manually select the engine to charge the battery or have the gasoline engine to power the vehicle even with the dead battery. Very much like a Chevy Volt

@@mcclintonauto Do they still have those useless battery depleting door handle sensors (where rain shorts out the door sensors, irrespective of whether or not your wireless fob is anywhere near, or worse, in a distant outback situation, where you have a tent beside your wilderness outlander, with it's starter battery being KILLED all night, in a heavy downpour of rain, as those sensors "short circuit" behind the grip handles, activating the mirrors & maybe the horn all night, as it unlocks & relocks then almost instantly Unlocks again - continuously - until the battery goes absolutely FLAT (mine depleted down to 5.5V the first time I discovered that happens, and after a week from a NEW fully charged battery, we had another week of very heavy rain, and thus - oh buggah - just 1.3V left in the 12v starter battery after we used the emergency key to unlock it and pop the bonnet to get to the DEAD starter battery, thus when tested with a multi-meter - we learned the hard way - those useless grip to unlock (with a fob in your pocket) KES - were a killer of batteries in any heavy wetness, such as rain or as most in the cities will tell you, at a car wash. Thus I (an industrial electrician with all the testing tools) discovered that having a hands free fob in pocket, tug the door open Keyless Entry System (when still needing entry by gripping the handle with your hand) .. I tested my by then third NEW battery - at it's depleted value - just before we managed to jump start it with a "carried along just in case" small mobility scooter's battery - which I was able to recharge the starter battery just enough - before it started for me to drive it home, (with the alternator a new one as one auto electrician was absolutely certain it was a diode wrong in the alternator that he then replaced - therefore easily recharging that absolutely flattened battery on the way.) DOOR SENSOR grip handles, may be there for ease of access, with a remote fob for the keyless entry system - (in your pocket or purse) to allow you to unlock your vehicle without operating a remote button, or using the emergency key - but to eventually DRAIN the battery during wet weather at more than 1/5th of an amp an hour (= an amp every 5 hrs) it doesn't take all that many days of wet weather - to kill a new battery. Ain't no ease of access then are they with a dead car battery, neither answering to a remote's unlock button push, or a door grip inner handle sensor - unpowered with a dead battery in the vehicle, and even using the emergency key to unlock the doors, the vehicle still won't start - with (yep) that dead battery.
