I recall hearing that another difference is that the X8 allows sampling up to 192khz and the X6 won't. Did the high-frequency buzzing in the X8 ever get fixed? It may not be an issue with general recording, but for sound effects where the source material is slowed down, it's a big problem.

Hmm, little bit disappointing that the microphone capsules can’t be removed on the x6. Does this mean the entire device needs to be replaced if a capsule breaks or gets damaged? And is there a sound difference between the x8 and x6 microphone capsules? I was about to order a x6 for voiceover and soundsample projects but I’m not sure now because of the non removable capsules. Good to know though so thank you for this video!

Making the mics non removable is something beyond my comprehension. Not sure who the X6 is targeted at. I am happy with the X8, so versatile. Not prefect, but close. Little upgrades could make it into a hit.

Beim Vergleich der gelisteten Tascam Mehrspurrecorder habe ich nicht feststellen können, welche Werte der Tascam DP 006/ 008 beim äquivalenten Eingangsrauschen aufweist. Beim Tascam X6/ X8 hingegen wird ein Wert von -125 dBu angegeben und dass es ein HDDA unterstützes, rauscharmes Gerät auf den Eingängen 3 und 4 ist.

What part of the app isn't working? You have zero control of the device? Do you have the optional AK-BT1 Bluetooth dongle installed in the Portacapture? Have you enabled Bluetooth on the Portacapture by entering the General Settings menu, then the Other Settings menu?

When searching for a device, the search icon turns in the application but does not find it. Yes, I have enabled bluetooth in the general settings and the Tascam Portacapture X8 device has an AK-BT1 Bluetooth adapter installed

I recently purchased the X8, recorder and am trying to update the firmware. I purchased the cables for TASCAM. When I connect to my P C, it shows up as DRIVE E or F. How do I update the device?

X6 has noter or metronome... that being said I can't find a single video that shows the metronome in action, surely a sign that it is not very good.

Can someone tell me how to stop recording a mix track? It records from XLR and mix when all I want is XLR, I've searched all the menus

Hello! The Portacapture Series records the channels plus the mix down - that option cannot be turned off.

@@TASCAMUSA that's not true my X8 does not record a mix, speak with the tech team please and ask them why I can't turn it off, doesn't make any sense for it to be recording files I don't want or don't use surely you can understand that too
