you'll find good humble pious scholars from both sides and you'll find extreme bias from both. as long as we understand and respect each others veiws then we can be good. i agree with this shaykh and i salute to him.

Good thing i found this video...i was confused and lots of hateful video from barelvis and deobandi toward each other on KZfaq....i dont hate any of the two thou...i mostly frequent deobandi mosque as its near to my house...both are hanafi and maturidi

Astaghfirullah, the issues are not small but major. It has nothing to do with the nafs but Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (Allah's Mercy be Upon Him) was correct to stand against the comments these deobandies made.

I've listened to the whole thing. And noted many beneficial important points the Shaykh made and have understood the wisdom that he is imparting (in terms of promoting unity). However, it should be noted that he made several important points. Namely, he mentioned that certain: 1. "mardood statements were made that are rejected by Sacred Law and made out of fury." 2. That the lower nafs got involved stirring up the conflict to greater than what it was. Now, unless you know what the actual conflict is, have studied the conflict in depth/detail by reading the statements in their original urdu, understood the context of the emergence of the group(s) by reading the history of the conflict, as well as know what the Ijmaa of the Ummah is/was and what the Ulema of the Haramayn mentioned regarding this conflict 100 years ago, you cant make a claim that this is an "over dramatic, over emotional decision that is taken extremely seriously." This statement of yours is a an arrogant as well as ignorant assertion. Google "the Muhannad deceit" and you will find a very thorough summary explaining what happened. Deobandiyya, especially 100 years ago, is/was a straight up Wahabi group with an agenda to spread Wahabism. Furthermore, the elders of this group are the ones who wrote the "mardood statements," upon which takfir was made. This Takfir was attested to by the Ulema of the Haramayn, including the Great Grand teachers of Habib Umar (hA). And this group was established as a deviant group to avoid. However, the Deobandis being very clever deceitful decided to pull wool over the eyes of many especially those non-Urdu speaking/understanding Arab Ulema who are not aware of the entire details. Therefore, with all due respect to Habib Umar (hA), and I consider him from the Awliya, I have husn-e-dhann that his understanding of the issue is based on some deceit that the deobandis have fed to him and that he is only trying to create Sunni unity. However, this issue is an issue that the Sunni Ulema of the Subcontinent have already resolved and have concluded unanimously of the deviance of the deobandis.

Does make sense but, in my humble opinion, an Arab scholar's opinion doesn't hold that much weight considering that most of the conflict is in the Urdu language.

He permits seeking intercession from the dead and sacrifice of animals at the graves and much more. THE BIG CALAMITY IS THAT THIS GUY IS TAKEN AS AN ARAB ISLAMIC SCHOLAR IN SOUTH EAST ASIA.
