It was rock paper scissors because they made “fire, water, sponge” that inspired the “Total Firey Island” and “Firey Comics” that made the objects.

DangerousWay catalogue is the first time a BFDI character actually appeared. However, the book series of ‘Total Firey Island’ was the first ‘show’ and it had 2 more seasons, which are mainly lost media. But we all know the first computer animated one was Battle For Dream Island.

you can go back even further than this if you wanted because Robinson Crusoe is thought to have been inspired by _A Voyage to the South Sea, and Round the World_ by Edward Cooke edit: this book is also based on Alexander Selkirk's adventures, and Edward Cooke was one of Alexander's crewmates

I think what actually inspired bfdi is that old ass KZfaq series called Lemon 'N Bill from 2009 because it looks similar like an object show and I mean VERY Similar
