The food in Paraguay is awesome. It's been heavily influenced by local tastes as well as those of many immigrants that have settled here. Some parts of the video are not very loud because I was trying to be courteous and not scream into my phone when there was a lot of background noise. Special thanks to Grimm's in San Bernardino for allowing me to record and for the incredible food. I highly recommend this place as well as San Bernardino in general for people in the area or visiting travelers who want a unique experience. Sopa Paraguaya is the dish you absolutely must try--the only solid soup in the world as far as I know.

The foundation of Paraguayan food is a mix of Spain + Guaraní, from the Hispanic - Guaraní conquest of the region (circa 1537) with lots of maize, mandioca, Paraguayan cheese, beef and fish; later Italians also came along with the Spaniards and the Vatican (Jesuits and Franciscans) and added their recipes. Over the centuries immigrants from all over the world also came and added their seasoning/knowledge into our huge pluricultural Paraguayan menú. ✨ ¡Gracias por visitarnos y volvé siempre! ✨

Tereré is not a thing, it's a beverage, now, the termo(liquid container, some sort of jar), guampa and yerba makes the "magic" here, but it's just water with some herbs.. greetings from Paraguay!

Is it easy to become a resident in Paraguay?
@BenTeachesEnglishOverseas
@BenTeachesEnglishOverseas 7 жыл бұрын
It depends upon your country of origin, but the answer is yes and no. There are over 27 steps involved in the process and if you're not familiar with the system, it would take you months to figure it out and you still won't be able to navigate things as an outsider most likely. I do offer guidance on the matter to Pro Package clients and I have connections in Asuncion to get it done expeditiously at a very reasonable price.

BenTeachesEnglishOverseas interesting, so are you a resident now or still considered like a tourist? How did you pick Paraguay? Doesn't seem like it'd be as touristy as Argentina or Colombia, has that been your experience? Nice video, food looks good!
@BenTeachesEnglishOverseas
@BenTeachesEnglishOverseas 7 жыл бұрын
It's not touristy at all. It's a long story, but there are many selling points for becoming a resident. I'm no longer considered a tourist. I'm a permanent resident for life with national ID card.

Paraguay is awesome for people looking for opportunities, to become a resident is not so hard but you'll have to deal with a lot of burocracy stuff, but here no one gives a shit about illegal residents, I have a few friends that are outsiders and they never got any problems here regarding that matter, greetings from Paraguay!
