The Titanic was the first movie I watched in theaters. I was 3 years old, and I beggggged my parents to see it. They brought me just to shut me up, figuring I would end up falling asleep. They were shocked that I was awake the whole time, but figured I was being stubborn because they said I wouldn’t like it. They were even more shocked when I was able to tell them exactly what the plot of the movie was, and insisted we own it on VHS.

Rhett's assumption about the focus being on the parents is really interesting after hearing him talk about his family dynamic so much on Ear Biscuits.

These have to be some of the most tame movies they could have chosen. Aside from American Pie and Team America. Try watching A Clockwork Orange with anyone. And someone on the staff clearly loves James Cameron.

The one for me was The Sweetest Thing. Also with Cameron Diaz, that’s the movie that I saw with my whole fam (parents and sisters) and I was incredibly uncomfortable throughout.

Years ago, whilst spending the holidays with my in-laws, I picked what movie we’d all watch together two nights in a row. First, For a Good Time Call and then I Love you Phillip Morris. Mortified. Don’t recommend. I’ve not picked any movies w the in-laws since. And my spouse still makes fun me of me for it by periodically saying, “Do it man.” Remember that scene?
