The most beautiful thing ive seen was watching one of my best friends recover from their depression, and becoming happy again. Edit: For that one person who said "how", all you need is the right love and support. Please, never be afraid to reach out to someone. If you think you're alone, you're not. •Kiyoshi• your comment insinuates that depressed people NEED to rely on others (“the right love and support”) to get better. That is NOT true. Don’t EVER tell ANY person they need to depend on others for their happiness or to get out of their misery or depression. Humans can ONLY do it on their own, it only takes yourself to get out of depression....it’s when your heart, mind and soul work together in harmony that’s when depression will alleviate. In severe cases medication in necessary, but “LoVe aNd SuPpOrt” will NEVER make a depressed person suddenly not depressed. That’s NOT how depression works!!! Situational depression in NOT clinical depression. Some of my most worst most depressive moments in life were when I was loved and supported the most!!! But my MIND was going against me. Depression is no joke, it’s complicated, and telling depressed people to go out and seek others to depend on to give them happiness and rid them of their depression is detrimental. It’s unfair and unrealistic expectations of both the depressed person AND the people around the depressed person. Educate yourself.
@butteredcrossant5 жыл бұрын
@@JewelsScarlet From me, personally, what I've been through is that I had no support. No one cared or anything of that matter. I apologize if it had came out wrong, but that is not what I intended on saying. People are differnet, and need certain helping hands. For me, it was support. For my best friend, his condition was that he was too scared to actually reach out. So, using support, i had encouraged him to reach out to someone, and he is getting better. So please, do not become aggressive with me, because people are very different. Yes, some people are stronger, and some are weaker. It all depends on the person. So please, let me repeat that: Im not saying you NEED to rely, im just simply stating that sometimes you do REQUIRE a helping hand when things get too difficult.

She IS with you! Our bodies give out but our spirit lives on. My dad passed in 1986 & a couple months prior, he told me he couldn't stand me in October. Thanksgiving came & went. Dec 6 he passed 7 days before my birthday. 1998 he showed up in spirit helping me find my half bro & reunited me with his side of the family I'd not seen since 8. He was with me a year & made up for SO much. After his tasks were done, I dreamed of him every night in July, seeing him driving like a Cadillac convertible and the last night of July I saw him fully & as he turned to leave, I cried out, "Dad! Dad! You're not dead!" I missed him terribly & after 3 months I asked for a sign. The next day I signed into my Ancestry account and there was an email from my dad's brother's son. (My uncle had passed as well.) And hey, give yourself a more positive name. Dumb arses I've known don't get to see their mom. 🍃🕊🍃

One of the most beautiful things I’ve seen: when people started to come out after a few months of quarantine around May/June. There were so many kids playing outside and on their bikes. So many people out walking and jogging. There was an unspoken thing where everyone was just grateful for a simple thing: going outside and living. It’s like the world became more innocent. Like before technology and social media took over. Idk, seeing al those kids and people enjoying a simple walk made me realize what actually matters

The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was when I was at peak depression. The one person I ever believed loved me cheated on me, broke up with me, and moved across the country. I was so consumed by depression that I dropped out of college, stopped going to work, couldn't stop doing drugs because I couldn't face reality. I had lost my faith around that time as well and everything felt pointless. I was at my sister's apartment and we had all been coming down from drugs and fighting and I felt like she hated me and I knew that no one in my life cared about me at all and I wanted to end my life because there was no purpose. I went outside to cry by myself. She lived right next to mountains and they looked purple. It was spring and the grass was green, the trees were green, there were vibrant colors from the flowers here and there, the sky was such a vivid baby blue, I felt the wind in my hair and watched it sway the leaves and I was in awe of how beautiful nature was and thought about what a perfect system life is, like, the bugs pollinate the plants, and the animals eat them, and we eat the animals but anyway in that moment I thought. There is no way nature is this beautiful and works this perfectly by accident. This would be an impossible accident. I've told that story to a few people and they have all been touched.
@Respect2theFallen Жыл бұрын
If you're sober now congrats. I enjoyed reading that and I know that exact feeling about seeing nature. Came down from shrooms and everything just felt amazing during up until I had a panic attack that ruined most of the trip but coming to I was more appreciative

I know I’m two weeks late but I’ve been busy and haven’t had a chance to watch this video till now. I’d just like to answer the question real quick if you don’t mind. Not to be conceded or narcissistic, but the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen was my own smile. I smile a lot but it is rare that the smile is 100% genuine. I’ve struggled with depression for the majority of my life and there is a huge difference between my real and fake smile. Anyway when I was younger I was bullied profusely for my weight, so about 6 months ago, when I looked in the mirror, right into my own eyes, and told myself that I wasn’t fat, I smiled. For me it’s hard to believe things that I tell myself, but I believed that. So my real smile broke through and I grinned like an idiot. That’s why my real smile is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, it brought with it the means to rebuild the self confidence I’d been missing since the fourth grade.

I went to El Salvador when I was 18 and there were so many moments during that trip. There was a lake that had formed in the top of a dormant volcano with pitch black sand. Being up so high we were in the clouds. The mountains. I would wake up at 5:30am before everyone else to take a shower first and one morning I stood, looking out off the edge of a mountain and the sky was the most vivid shades of pink and it felt like no one knew it but me because I was the only one awake. The looks on the kids' faces too when we would go to their schools and villages. After hearing the statistics of how many didn't have parents and how many were so young trying to make it on their own, to be able to give them happiness is unparalleled. I may not believe the message we were spreading now, but I wouldn't take back the joy we were able to give them. I wouldn't take back hearing their squeals and giggles when we picked them up and ran around and just made them feel like kids for a little bit. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. To this day, El Salvador is the most beautiful place I've ever been with some of the nicest, most generous people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
