This is me, Mathilda Lindström as Lauras stand-in artist before the Eurovision Song Contest.
All the mixers, cameramen etc had to practice the light, sound etc before Eurovision, so I had the chance to be one of the stand-in artists.
I am so happy and thankful that I got the opportunity to be a part of this, it's a experience I will remember for the rest of my life.
Thank you very much SVT and all the involved!

Once I passed the initial discomfort of not hearing Laura's voice, I really really enjoyed this. Great voice and atmosphere.

Hey, don't be stupid. This girl has done a performance for the realisation part of the festival to know how to proceed at the actual broadcasting, live. That is why the voice is not excellent (although I'm quite impressed by the actual voice of Mathilda), nor the coreography. However, I definitely think the mood is excellent. If you criticise her because of doing a rehearsal, then go there and do it. I am sure most of the people who critique this performance would not do as well as she did (I repeat this performance is far from perfect, but it still is really great, and I personally like her voice). If you don't like it, +UnscriptedMal, then don't respond to every single comment trying to ridicule her. Remember that doing so just makes you more ridiculous. BTW, I don't expect you to respond to this one.

How do they know all these choreographies? Do they get the actual video of participants' practicing at home or how does it work? I assume the national broadcasters send these practices in advance so that these stand-in singers can simulate it?!

The broadcasters send a PDF file of everything related to their performance before the meeting of the heads of delegation (when I say everything, I really mean everything; all the props, lighting, LED projections, etc. and what they all cost, the choreographies, possible outfits...). The stand-in rehearsals are based on this, all the rehearsals are intended to adjust everything so it works perfectly when it's aired on TV and the delegations are happy with it.

What is the purpose of stand-in rehersals? What are them exactly? I have never known

To show the artists how the show will look like in cameras and with the choreo. If the artists doesn't like ot - there is enough time to change everything :-) when artists arrive for rehearsals there is 3-4 days to change "small things" like dress, but the cameras are already switched
