The metal plate Abby found is a Coupling Plate for a horse drawn wagon. You used it to connect two wagons in tandem I believe. The Patent info is below.. A. T. BARR. (Alexander T Barr) COUPLING GEAR FOR WAGONS. N0. 284,593 Patented Sept. 11,1883.

I'm blown away by your excitement of finding a button or stinkin' Lincoln. AquaChigg gets excited about finding a shell or bullet but Ed the Beach Hunter comes home with gold rings with diamonds ! To each his own I guess......

Love to watch ya hunt. I had a choice to be made, buy a new at pro or put money towards my sons wedding. Well sons wedding is more important for now so I’ll just keep watching you and Abby with your hunts. Stay special and keep digging.

Agreed, you two are great together and get to experience relic hunting together in the outdoors. My son who just turned 13 this month and I have a minelabs detector for placer gold hunting ( Nugget Shootin') here in the Bradshaw mountains north of Phoenix, AZ and he gets the bug really bad to fire up the detector after watching your videos with his buddies when he gets home from elementary school.

So lucky that you found the knife after two years. You are brave to be under a building that old. The fear of collapse would keep me out from it.

Really pleased to see you wearing gloves and a mask....there are pictures of an abandoned house in Wales online... on one shelf was a tin of old Rat poison. Not the kind of thing you want to be breathing in or on your fingers before you have a bite to eat.

My sisters former house on Bartlett st in Ellenville Ny had an old outhouse that hadn't been used since the forties. I was told it was there since the early 1900s. Back in the eighties before I had Minelabs and Whites metal detectors I knew under where people used to sit to take a dump I'm sure coins fell in. I went to the spot where I estimated. One thing was certain and that was where the fertilizer was rich was where the human excrement was. I found 12 silver coins from the twenties and quite a few pieces of old Indian head pennies. It was a perfect place to dig. I'm very surprised that no realized this was a great place to dig. I'm sure if anyone dropped a coin in that nasty excrement back then they would not try to retrieve.

Nug the flat iron plate with holes is a wooden farm wagon part that connects the reach pole to the axle braces . The round tapered piece hooked to a chain is the axle that the wheel hub would spin around. The actual axle would have been wooden. HTH 57

The crank was from an old grindstone, there would have been wood over the iron on the handle part. Nice video.

Great pocket knife find. I dropped mine and it slide into the fishing hole(under an highway bridge) and one or two years later the water level dropped(about 3 feet) and it was right where it slide down the concrete. I cleaned it up good and still have it

Interesting video but I was nervous when I saw the both of you under the house at the same time. One of you should have been outside in case something happened. Glad nothing happened. You are die hard detectorists that's for sure..

The metal thing with the chain on it is an old wheel hub for a wagon or farm implement.

Good hunt Nugget! I would probably never go under an old house that once had termites. lol. I am think about getting the Garrett AT Pro, when I have enough money. I really want to buy it because it is waterproof up to ten feet, so I could go water hunting. Water hunting is starting to peak my interest a little. Plus I went ahead and pre-ordered the new Garrett Propointer AT, which I will probably LOVE. Anyways good luck and happy hunting!

Dusty dodgy hunt. Nice place for a Snake to hang out . Bloody dusty and Abbey got stuck in under the foundations .Pity you didn't find much under there after all that work. I found a little pocket knife from one of the previous owners of out house, it had a blade about 1.5 inches long, but other than that it is made from Ivory. Sadly the blade has rusted so bad that it has no hope.
