People were comparing Saka to Salah last year. I’m a huge Saka fan but they are not in the same league. Salah guarantees you 30 goals a season and he’s been doing that for about 6 years. Arteta obviously felt there was enough goals in the team that he didn’t need a striker but it was a big mistake

Martinelli is a 9, I am actually amazed at how well he plays up top for Brazil because of his high energy work rate. His dribbling style is that of a 9 too, he runs with his head down, (whichg is annoying me) but probably the worst dribbling technique for a winger. That's just me though.

The drop off in the squad, the bench is poor. Unfit Partey, not replaced Xhaka. Neither of them around has forced Arsenal to change setup. They desperately need a midfielder to supplement Rice. Poor goal spread this season because they haven’t adapted to a new system. They don’t kill teams off. Buy an 8 or a deep playing 6 and free up Rice and they’ll deffo start blowing teams away again. Obviously a striker helps but the quality they’re looking for they can’t commit to. They sell poorly. They ought to bring back Tierney, get a loan midfielder and look to move on ESR and Nelson. Strength on the bench is what’s required, something you can’t fix in a January window.
