I lost my dog to cancer in febuary, he was the same age as Sherpa, Your channel really helped with the grief. You've clearly given him years of happiness and he's probably seen much more of the U.K than I ever will. I'm sure he will be around for a while yet and I wish you both the best.

My mongrel doggie Gypsy had her hair fall out when she was about five. Her back was nearly bare and some of her flanks too. Had to wash her with warm water everyday and apply cream, then make sure she didn't roll over, or we'd had have to wash her again, which she hated. She did recover, thank God. All that was needed was a little patience from us and a lot of understanding from her. God rest her soul.

Poor Shepie! So happy he has a dad that cares to the moon and back for him. Had to laugh when you were in van trying to explain. He had alot to say about it. Wishing Sheps a quick recovery!

I used to breed and show Bichons Frises, and my girl had problems with hot spots...and they always seemed to get them when we were getting ready for A big show! We did find out she was allergic to some ingredients used in processed dog foods. I found that I could make my own food for her that was better for her...mainly a diet of fish. Which she loved! I used to fish quite a bit, and living in the New Orleans area, well...lots of places to fish, catch crabs, and by shrimp from local fishermen and women! The "Hot Spots" went away on their own...

@Jamie, I had a Labrador who sudden developed hot spots, he was around Key's age at the time, after a few vet visits it turned out he had allergies, once the things that he was allergic to were eliminated the hotspots were gone. I hope this helps, have a great New Year and please give Sherpa a hug for me.

The tiny holes on the spot: Is that where the vet took biopsy and a scrape? I have a thyroid condition, too, and my skin and hair has thinned so badly just this year. I'm hoping to get a referral to a trichologist from my GP. I feel ya, Sherpie!

Sherpa is such a beautiful, and intelligent dog, and does his puddle jumping as gracefully as the "Vicker of Dibley". Won't be long before your kindness and his medication will eradicate his fur problem. Old age indeed!

Sherpa is great with his medicine. That's a blessing. My Huskies always managed to sort through their Pill Pockets and spit out their medicine. From my experience Sherpa is only a few years past Middle Age. I hope to see his adventures for many more years.

Oh that made me cry when I seen the pill pockets. I had a Miniature pincher and Chihuahua mix male dog. I got him from a friend when he was a year old. I was lucky to have him for 15 1/2 years. He passed away last October. He had a little trouble with arthritis so everyday I would give him a pill in one of those pill pockets. He loved them. I miss him so much.

He's like "dadddd...I'm not old, I'm not bald either.. it's just a phase... Dad, stop telling them I'm old." 😂 He's such a sweetheart, bless him 🥰

Keith said when he was growing up in South Carolina, he had a German Shephard Collie mix, Missy. She too had hot spots. Back in the day they would shave off the hair around it and use antibiotic cream. Sherpa will be in our prayers. We Love and adore him!!! When Sherpa talks I just smile, so darn cute!!! My dog is 14 and has the same thing going on. She's a lovely little dog just like Sherpa. Hers is probably a combo of skin condition and allergy to our cats. She didn't use to have either, but senior dogs have things come up. Love them just the same.
