How far can you calculate before it gets blurry in your head? Once you figure that out, we can start to improve it little by little. I hope this lesson helps you out things in perspective and take action to reach that next level!

Learn how to play Chess the right way from beginner to master level. National Master Robert Ramirez will take you up the pyramid by following a proven Chess training program he has been improving and implementing for over 10 years.
Benefits of Playing Chess:
- Promotes brain growth
- Increases problem-solving skills
- It exercises both sides of the brain
- Raises your IQ
- Sparks your creativity
- Teaches planning and foresight
- Teaches patience and concentration
- Optimizes memory improvement
- Improves recovery from stroke or disability
- Helps treat ADHD
Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battlefield.
Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant -especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.
We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

I was able to do the 1-4 movers correctly and found the main ideas on the 5 and 6 movers but struggled to keep track of all of the variations. Honestly the 5 move one seemed the most difficult to me

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!! I'm a late joiner in the course, so I already had some trouble with the first one 😂not that I cannot find mate in one or two or even more (by casually building it up) in my games, but nobody taught me how to sistematically calculate and consider all the possibilities so I find videos like this VERY useful. So, since I joined late, I will be catching up no matter what you do, just let me tell you this video is gold. ¡Gracias!

ps: for example I found easier the mate in 3 than the mate in 1 🤣 I guess it also depends on the concentration I have in every moment, maybe after 2 examples my brain is already tuning into the calculating dimension...

Was having a bit more problems with checkmate in 3 than 4, although I still couldn’t get it I was very close on it. This helps a lot actually, for being new to chess I feel this will help me to sharpen my mind.

There is no limit. If you want, you can calculate even 50 moves further. Only limit that exist is in your mind.

On the 6-mover, if I was in a bit of time pressure, I probably would've simply played 1 ... Bxg5 2 hxg5 Qe5+ 3. g3 Qxg5 to stay a piece up and run the c4 pawn in for a touchdown.

@@NMRobertRamirez Unfortunately, it took me a lot longer to solve than I would've liked. The artificiality of "mate-in-x" is you're told what to look for. OTB I don't know if I would've pressed on after not finding it in the first 6 minutes, especially with an easy win already in my pocket.

I knew you were good but you really blew my mind in this video. I was able to spot the checkmate in 4 rather quickly but every other mate was difficult to find. I got so lost in the checkmate in 5 and 6 that I am still trying to find my way home. If you see me lost in the streets, please notify my wife that I am still trying to get my bearings and will eventually find my way back home.

Solved 1-4 without problems. Missed that the black knight is pinned on number 5 when bishop blocks, so I tried to do a discovered check with the knight and couldn‘t make it work. All the other Lines I’ve calculated correctly. Number 6 was easier to find but I didn‘t see all the possibilities if the king tries to escape on the lightsquares. I really love your videos, thank you!

Mate in 2 : we can also move any of the two knights to d5? If king to e6 then rook takes the pawn on g6 and mate and if black's knight takes ours we recapture with our knight?

Got stuck already at mate in 2 missing that hxg4 is mate, quite typical. Mate in 4 I thought Qf4 (waiting move) instead of Qh7 with a check. Also mate in 4 or what can black do after Qf4 (only one check)? 🤔 On to mate in 5. 🙃 Edit: Found Qg6 quickly in mate in 5 and also Be5 in mate in 6. Saw that it was enough to win but not at all 100% how it was mate. My intuition is much better then my calculation. ☺

I started struggling at 4 but I handle stress terribly. In a game, I struggle with 2 sometimes. I need to figure a way to play with less nerves. It is like I am nearly blind in the game from stress.
