Did I miss something or did you not include the stuff the animals we eat, eat? Cause those cows that are bred for optimal milk yield and chickens that are bred for laying eggs eat a lot more than what they would find themselves in/on the ground, no matter the space they have...

Also, cows are raised on grass until they are ready for finishing on a feedlot. They spend about 2-4 years on pasture and then 3-6 months in feedlots. The amount they get on a feedlot can vary but it isn't as much as you would think even though it is intended to increase yield. The point is these people want to limit cost(in food) but increase yield(by giving enough food and medicine to prevent disease) and get beef processed for payday. Another point, a vast majority of ranch land is not farmable and would probably just be overrun by elk and deer without ranching(even though that happens currently WITH ranches).

Awesome video :) It opens your eyes and it's just crazy how much place you need :\ After I've seen this, I'm going to try to minimize the place I need :) It won't change much, but it's a starting point :\ Your videos are very informative and look awesome :) Very great work as always! :D When I scrolled up to look how many subscribers you have, I was very disappointed :( I expected 2 .5 millions, because that is at least the number you would deserve :\ I'm going to recommend you to my friends :) And now I wish you a good day! ^^ Bella

I'd like to see: 1) a map of the arable land throughout the world with maybe a color key for actual use (percentage of use) of said land. 2) A chart showing, on an annual basis, how much of that land is being bulldozed under and turned into non-farm use 3) Another chart showing "food-miles", do we (in the US for example) need lemon grass, kiwi fruit and coconuts shipped from very far away? [Yes, we need coffee, that's a given]. Then map out using overlays arable land to population density throughout the world. The bottom line, and I mean this is kindest way, too many people. Ironically perhaps, I just noticed one of the "Up Next" videos is "Why Do India and China Have So Many People?" by MinuteEarth. Let me go watch that now.

In the end it is a huge food energy loss passing edible grain through animals to get food for humans and a waste of land grazing animals. People need to learn to make their dietary habits good for the environment.

Greg Foot here's my intake that I cooked for 6 days. I use cronometer website to track. goo.gl/photos/7XLSqvpquok7hrAs5. I usually cook for a week. And the reason being my intake is lower than 2kg because I'm on High fat diet (keto). Fat is more calorie dense.

Isn't this like saying that a ship can haul stuff cheaper than a truck? While the premise is true, the reality is not. How many grocery stores are on deep water ports? And how close do you live to one? And who is going to build a railroad track between my house and grandma's? According to him the avarerage person will drink about 28 shots of liquor a week. There are a whole lot of people under the age of 15 that don't drink any... It is programs like this video that teach people not to think. They tell just enough of the truth to make you assume that something that is not true, ,, is...
