Naah it depends on the context. For example imagine youre talking about how much toilet paper you use to wipe, you find out one of you uses less than the other, and being a goofy couple youll call the other person poopy hands. Its all in good fun and not always rooted in truth.

That is very interesting. My thoughts are that because when talking/asked about features of a personal, the question is always posed as “physical features”, and when it’s not a question of the physical, other words like characteristic or behaviors are mostly used instead. So people are a little bit “conditioned” I guess to answer it that way. As opposed to when asked about vehicle features, it’s more about the things the car can do and less about appearance. Maybe the people who also know that even though the person may not seem affected by saying a comment about their appearance, they know it can really hurt them deep down and they really care about that, so they think about the behaviors they can say instead.

Combination of the way the question was phrased, and no doubt some peoples partners are heavily insecure about certain physical features that they may have considered their least attractive. Not worth nuking a relationship when you can just say 'they fart' or something'

If a relationship has this level of honesty it just indicates a healthy relationship. Not talking about it isn't necessarily healthy and maybe not wanting to mention the flaws means you know the relationship is fragile

If you truly love someone, you will understand that they aren't perfect and that they are worth any "downsides" that you may see in them. If you just ignore those "downsides" and try to fool yourself with "everything is perfect", you'll eventually get fed up because reality comes crashing sooner or later.
