Building wealth from nothing involves consistent saving, disciplined spending, and strategic investments. Begin by creating a budget to track expenses and identify areas for savings. Prioritize paying off high-interest debt and establishing an emergency fund. As you build a foundation, start investing in low-cost options like index funds, and focus on continuous learning and improving your skills for better income opportunities.

It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.

I have a 2010 Scion XD I bought in 2011 brand new bc it was the cheapest new car at the dealership. it was 2k off sticker price due to it sitting on the lot and being a stick shift. I got through college, several nursing jobs, NP school and am now a nurse practitioner and I'm still driving it. 148k miles and I'm gonna drive it til the wheels fall off.

You could invest in stocks, start a side business, or focus on advancing your career. It's important to set goals and make a plan. Remember, wealth can mean different things to different people, One thing i can say that helped me in life to reach my first million was starting early, i got curious and informed i became open to passive income, investments in equities , etfs and the likes. also sought help to handle my portfolio which was my foundation. i'm ever grateful to Anna Rounds Fay my FA.

My parents are millionaires and they retired early at 50 and 55. They do not flex anything. We have a rav 4, a modest townhome, and we live a frugal lifestyle. First thing they told me since I am debt free graduating from college was that when I start working save and invest most of the income early on and ignore all the noise that people around you makes. It makes sense I want to make my 20s extremely productive and I know how to live on less than I make since I literally lived this lifestyle my whole life. Your videos especially this one only reinforces what my parents taught me. Pretty cool to see honestly. 💯

They’re right, the first $100k can be the toughest and most important.. from there at 10% interest a year it’s making you 10k a year. Think about what that does over a life time if you hit that by age 25 or 30
@christianrodriguez5346

@@Wrencheasy Thank you for the Finacial wisdom! The funny part is I am making 85k before taxes rn right after graduation. My parents planner is developing a plan for me as we speak. My parents are happy and they project that if I focus on myself only in my 20s I can be a millionaire pretty early on in life since I know how to live frugally and know how to value money correctly. The problem is my love life is not the greatest lately and I only think now it gets worse once I make money. But my parents have a good radar as to who is good and who isn’t if I can’t determine or blinded. The good thing is I have caring parents and 3 friends who are like brothers to me. So at the moment all I need right now is them on my shoulders or for guidance throughout life. Even people on KZfaq like yourself who is providing advice to someone like me starting their journey into adulthood. Appreciate it bud!! 👍🏼🙌

As a retired accountant I can confirm. Most rich looking people aren’t rich, but some are, and there’s nothing wrong with that if they can afford it. Most millionaires I personally know are ‘silent’, but most 100 mil + I know are not ‘silent’ because they have large companies, big houses, a large car collection etc. They also pay a LOT of taxes in the EU where I live (despite the best tax advisors they hire).

Ive been driving a 2009 Lexus RX 350. I paid $9400 cash back in 2020. Its been a beast. It is the same engine as the 2009 Highlander and uses all of the same parts as well. The good thing about used Lexus is that they typically depreciate more than a Toyota due to it being a "luxury" vehicle. If I had gone with the Highlander I would have paid about four grand more. Its great having a reliable vehicle, little maintenance, and not debt!

@@penguingobrrbrr353I think what they meant is risky and speculative investing like with crypto or derivative investments. Investing in stock market and real estate also have risk, but long term trends indicate it's going to be ok. Not so with crypto and derivatives. Also, I believe they mention about high risk leveraging strategy like taking money out of your current resident to put down payment on a rental property and keep on cycling that. That strategy will quickly crumble when housing market is taking a hit

What's more interesting is to ask what is the diference in rate between young millionaires vs young future millionaires half from their home and half from a modest 401k? Or how different is the rate between people who are millionaires excluding their hous vs those who are only millionaires including their house

Probably doesn't hurt that buying a house 10+ years ago would have majorly increased many people in that survey's net worth. Also probably doesn't hurt that proportionally, rent and groceries are way more expensive now than they were in the past. It seems like there are so many advantages from just existing in the past that just basic decent behavior would have resulted in a way higher net worth, and I am not sure that the same standards that got these millionaires their money will have the same results into the future.

Probably doesn’t hurt to move away from victim mentality either.

@@AaBbCcDdEeFI don't have a victim mentality. It's just true that things are different now, so the same behaviors in different circumstances might result in a different outcome.

As I am watching this within hours of when you just posted. Let me add a little reinforcement. I am not a millionaire. Actually I am close to being a 10 millionaire. I drive a Toyota. I usually go around in a sweatshirt. And most who know me, would consider me content but not overly glarmous. Some will note that I do travel more than most. Also I do frequently eat out. (but not overly smancy, fancy. Rather usually ethnic foods like, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Italian. (The difference for me. Is my restaurant expenditure. is quite small compared to most people's net worth. (I cant say salary, as I did retire a couple of years ago). Do I care what you think of me? Nope. Do I care about my family. Hell yeah, been married for 42 years and counting. The reason that I write this, is not to brag. Its because I was never an upper manager, and never had a salary close to what my kinds are making now. What I did, is invest from my 20s, and live below my means. (and I never had large balances on thiings that could chare me interest. Althought I am not abhrent to those plastic things, that most call "credit cards" but I call "charge cards." , and hopefully you understand the difference. So YOU can do it TOO. Go for it. It takes patience, but will bring you contentment, and less stress.
