6:05 Re: Legal Ramifications. My mother worked in loss control insurance for nearly 40 years and only recently retired. I was discussing the TanaCon shenanigans with her when it was new and, after falling down a rabbit hole of con footage and attendee's videos, she was absolutely appalled. I don't remember our exact conversation, but it basically boiled down to 'Tana needs to wind up in court for violating X, Y, Z law and A, B, C regulations.' Each person in attendance is owed compensation and for those who wound up hospitalized, Tana and/or her legal team should be the ones to pay for their bills. Tana broke the law. _Multiple_ laws.

@@berbrick1902 Probably because, firstly, it's a really niche field and, secondly, Tana and her team don't want people to know. As a broad swath, they violated fire regulations (by being over capacity, amongst others), willfully caused harm, willfully put people at risk, and arguably defrauded attendees. Again, this is not getting into the fiddly laws and regulations being violated or broken or even touching on everything they've done wrong. This, naturally, reflects poorly on Tana and anyone involved in coordinating the event and acknowledging it would put them in the sticky situation of accountability. Ignore it, and no one beyond the handful of people trained in insurance who are aware of the situation will ever truly know the wrong done.

All they knew that it was supposed to be 'better than VidCon' and they'd see their favorite KZfaqrs. However, the management knew how many tickets they sold and how much the capacity was. They deserve to get sued.
