I wear sweatpants and a hoodie, with some sneakers. I don’t have anything in the pockets, and I take my watch off. It works for me

i have an ultra-soft microfiber black apron that I can recommend if you are worried about lean on the cars

What about wearing Black sweats and a black T-shirt? Or would you recommend black shirt and either black shorts or pants?

The dickies i work in don’t have rivets and have some flex in them. However when they were big i wore a mechanics belt or an auto body techs belt. They dont have a metal outer. The leather wraps the head.

Costco Convertible pants in dark grey for hotter seasons. Fleece lined for colder seasons. And I’ll wear a moisture wicking under shirt again from Costco. Shoes: indestructible shoes, kujo yardwear Socks: waterproof socks; sealskinz, shower pass etc etc. I wish my boss would make us wear a conforming uniform like that. It would be much nicer.

I usually wear Dickies work pants or outdoor hiking pants when detailing. What are your thoughts on branded (Adidas, Puma, Nike, etc) sweatpants RagCompany?

Dickies Loose Fit Double Knee Pants, ( if it's cold ish, thermals under them) Long or Short Sleeve T-Shirt. My forever quest is just the right Shoes...I migrate toward what Law Enforcement, EMT's, etc wear cuz on their feet all day.

My Nikes would leak through the air pockets and pump water into the shoes lol my feet would get so soaking wet I would be squishing and squirting water for hours, got so bad when I lifted my foot out of my shoes, my socks would be dripping lol Other than that I would be in normal street clothes and be situationally aware.

I would NEVER wear a belt or any pants with rivets, like jeans. Metal objects can & will damage car's surface if touched. Jackets with zippers are also a no no. I have seen damage on cars and some of the damage is permanent. Why take a chance? Water proof clothing & shoes would be a plus, it's not rocket science!

For real. Who are the detailers rubbing their bodies on cars? Of all the stupid fetish crap detailers waste their time and energy on safe clothing is one of the dumbest.
